8 GB SD cards were fine yesterday, now computer not reading them
Comments (10)Thanks everyone. I too would like to know why someone said not to use the camera's transfer ability; my camera came with a utility program & cable specifically for transferring photos. It has worked fine, knock on wood. As for the cards, I bought the same cards I always buy, but maybe they are making them differently now? not sure. Or maybe my card reader is malfunctioning. not sure. So I'll just keep transferring via EOS Utility for now. (which does not use up the battery that much, BTW--the transfer is fairly fast and the camera shuts itself off after it's done, if I have to let it go awhile/walk away from it)...See More? Re: Kingston 1 GB High Speed Flash Drive
Comments (26)you should be able to right click on the folder itself and select delete, you should be able to drag and drop items to and from the flash drive. The most important thing is to always remember never ever remove anything like a flash drive until you have clicked the remove safely icon down in your systray and select which item you want to disconnect from your pc and wait till it says it is safe to remove. Not doing that can really mess stuff up. I have no idea why it would change the order unless did it perhaps put them in alphabetical order? if you right click start then explore and open your explorer tree find the drive letter assigned to the flash drive then from the right pane you should be able to drag and drop anything into that drive and in the same manner remove stuff from that drive. Or go to my computer find that drive select it and view what is on it and manipulate the data. When you select a picture on the flash drive and right click on it do you not have options listed there as to how you want it to open?...See Morephone sim card reader recommendations
Comments (3)I have installed the RIM software in the past, but now I have not been able to make it work any longer. It takes 45 minutes to install, and you have to promise to buy Blackberry service to install, and I told it I would so I could back up my sim card contacts, but I don't have Blackberry service. The software did not connect, yet it deleted all my contacts from my sim. Furthermore, you have to give all your information to Blackberry your name, address, your profession, first born child etc. and it takes a very long time to type in all of that. If you do it once you still have to type it in again each time you download the software. The RIM software is buggy, you will need to reinstall it frequently if it works at all. I will never use the RIM software again. I have seen usb sim card readers for as low as 4.99. They told me I should either buy a new phone or use the RIM software. That is why I am posting here to see if anyone else has used a sim back up usb device and if so what brand did they use. I can't understand why tmobile would suggest I spend $300 to buy a new phone rather then spend 4.99. The sim card goes into the usb, it's a card reader. They have one if you look on Amazon, but it got a low review. New Egg also has card readers with slots to insert a SIM card, the same way you would the memory card from your camera. I would assume you can also edit your contacts via computer. Tmobile should get in touch with reality....See MoreViking questions
Comments (2)It has been ages since I looked at the 910 & 936 so not sure what extra features on the 936. I have the 1002LCD also the 1003LCD and as I recall the newer serger models are heavier, but there wasn't enough difference for me to upgrade as I don't use mine that much anymore I seem to have cut way back on my sewing! As for the software-it would depend on what your computer is XP? ME? -which...we have discussed here in the past that XP doesn't support the older versions of customizing. Pat...See MoreUser
