Comments (33)Alex : I am very happy that you joined the Miele washer-dryer family. Though I am yellous about LiGi I am a very happy Miele owner 2. my machines are discontinued here in Europe but sold in Canada. You soon get used 2 the condenser dryer, haveing used other brands of dryers I feel Miele are the best at drying and easy to take carwmof. I can't believe your luck on those machines, I can not for the life in me understand how someone can not like them. Look forward to se and hear lots more of the life with LiGi's. // Björn...See MoreFirst Little Giant Boil Wash 200F!!!!!! :-O
Comments (46)eponymouse I live in Sweden and we already have the new line of Asko washers you are talking about. What I have seen in test of earlyer machines fron asko are that they are about midrange in cleaning and rather low at rinsing how that will be in the new models time will tell..... Have read the top of the line manual and there are stuff you can program. There are a more water option, do not know if it ads even to wash or just rinse. You can ad 2 more rinses. Both these are not awailable in all programs. What is it you want to know specificly, but we have to remember that it can vary from Eu to Us, I will gladly read more of the manual if you want me to....See MoreMiele 1918 or 1113 Washer choices
Comments (30)Short night sleep! Got to bed at 2am. Up at 7am. Now its lunch time. The old machines are on the lawn. The new machines are in the basement but not hooked up. What was I doing at 7am, waiting for 7:30! to call the electrician to see if I could get my 240 setup for both machines and with an appropriate outlet. Currently the 240 is just a wire that gets hard wired into the dryers. So I need dedicated outlets for each machine. Guess What, I have the electrician getting here after lunch!!! I have taken pics of the plugs and the canadian manual specs for the dryer and the washer, I hope that these manuals are the same as for the American sets. Anyone know? Then after getting the go ahead on the electrician at 7:30 this morning, I called the plumber. Guess What, he is able to come today too and redo some funky plumbing for these machines. He has a hand cart too and helped us get the machines into the basement. He will put in a box for a nice shutoff and the drain. And Guess What! DH is on board with pouring a low platform to set them side by side, so that when the basement gets water on the floor these wont be standing in water!!! We live in an old house. The house is high and dry, but when the eves are overflowing and dumping water directly into the soil next to the foundation it practically runs through the old clay block foundation walls of the basement. We can get some water puddles in areas next to the wall, across from where the set will be, but I want to be sure the feet are never in water. Things are rolling along! I'll link some pics in a bit....See MoreMiele Little Giants -- help!
Comments (18)Not to completely hijack this thread, but I also have the Electrolux EFL617 pair. And here are some of my observations... Drain and Spin is the Rinse and Spin cycle with 2nd rinse disabled. 2. The temperatures are a bit of a mystery to me. The Normal cycle at the normal soil level displays the eco-leaf and the target temperatures are lacking. Bump the soil level to Heavy or Max and the eco-leaf goes out, temperatures are much more what you would expect. 3. The dryer barely gets warm if the eco option is enabled. Clothing still dries at this setting but not if your dryness level is set to normal. Must go one level higher or max to completely dry anything. Further, disabling the eco option results in a regular heated dry. 4. The washer has a pre-wash dispenser compartment, but there is no prewash function on this machine. Not sure why that is... I haven't had any problems with either machine, but they're not perfect. Would I buy them again? I can't say that I would, but there isn't a perfect pair on the market. Every machine has a drawback and the owner has to adapt habits to make it work for them. MRB...See MoreCal
