Finger pad on laptop too sensitive

Friend has a Toshiba satellite U-405. the mouse pad on the laptop is way to sensitive for her.. I looked in the control panel section didn't find anything ( may have over looked it ) How can I make it not so sensitive for her

My Chromebook has issues with being too sensitive. They included a wireless mouse. Takes care of the problem.

Yes, I "disconnected" the touch pad altogether, too, and got a mouse.

This sounds like what is termed a mouse over which means that a snippet of the given aspect is revealed but you would have to click on the main link to see the whole aspect. If you were to hover the mouse cursor in another location that information shown by the mouse over should disappear.

Well, it is not the toggling fn+f5, it has nothing to do with a wireless mouse. I have run my AV, checked to see if there was a conflict with any other program, there is not. Wen I start up regularly my mouse will not work, I can move the mouse around on the screen, but as far as clicking on anything, I can't. My laptop is a Toshiba L655D, I have not downloaded anything new prior to the mouse not working. I did d/l a driver for the touchpad from Toshiba's support site. The keyboard mouse/touchpad only works in SAFE MODE. And, I had a wireless mouse, I had changed the battery, checked for drivers, etc. In an act of frustration I threw the wireless mouse against the wall, that was the end of the wireless mouse. No luck... * Tried installing DELL's update driver, for my computer, from their site. * Had their support-system scan my computer, but nothing found. * I'm out of warranty...I wonder if this is part of it? * Can't find anything with answers on their Dell communities forums. * Tried FOUR times to install their Touchpad update, but it "Fails" every time. * They have a "Log" I can read of the failure, but it's Greek to me! * I can't open "Device-Manager" either, & I'm logged-on as full-permission Administrator!!!! I have a Logitech keyboard which I could get out. Seems a waste when a laptop already has a keyboard. I only got it when I spilled coffee on my old, old laptop and couldn't buy a replacement keyboard anymore. I don't know if I can configure it to hubs tablet, the tablet was a cheapie one he got from Amazon. That would be great though. I basically want to get myself a nice new laptop and turn over my old Dell to husband. I don't want him using my computers, he is not savvy and gets viruses easily. But if we can use my Logitech keyboard with his tablet, I can save the money to buy something else, like a week's vacation!!

My cursor moved at the least little motion. It was a pain -- glad I had a workaround.

Yes, but was that from accidentally touching it, like while typing? Some notebooks have a setting to disable the touchpad only when typing.

I didn't need to touch things -- they opened if I was just hovering over them.

In Control Panel.
1. Go to the Mouse Icon and Click on it.
2. The Mouse Properties window will open.
3. Click on the Pointer Options Tab at the top.
4. In the Top Box; Motion, move the slider to the Left, a slower speed and see if that helps.
