Am I the only one who really dislikes their Toto toilet?
Comments (82)I bought a Toto Eco Flush CST784EF for our master bathroom and it is terrible. You need to have a toilet brush scrubber by you each time you use the bathroom because there is not enough water or pressure to clean the toilet. And, it was $600. The biggest waste of money I ever spent. Go with American Standard. We bought one of those for our powder room and it is amazing for 2/3 rds of the cost....See MoreTrue Confessions; Am I the only one who
Comments (55)Our tree is still up. It has always felt like something enjoyed too much to be so short lived., but once married the reasoning shifted. DH is a bit compulsive in the way he has to do everything Christmas tree related and it took the joy out of decorating the tree for me, so it's his job now. I enjoy the lights so I don't usually start feeling like it's time to take it down until mid to late January. After that, I start teasing him about decorating it for Valentine's day and Easter. We had our son here until late last week and this week has been crazy with unplanned things, so the tree is still up. The wreath came down right after Christmas -- our weather had been so warm that it was starting to turn fast. Now we get the cold. Now it feels like Christmas weather. LOL We may light the fire in that room and enjoy it through this coming week, but I'd like to have it down before we get busy in the gardens and all our attention moves outdoors....See MoreAm I the only one who does this?
Comments (10)Depends on the salmon and the recipe. I usually check anyway, and wil pick out bigger stuff. If I'm planning on making something fine like an eggy bit or a paste I'll get the better cleaned canned stuff and still check. Only thing I don't check is the prepared packet salmon. With all tinned stuff, if there's bones, those get tossed into the compost bucket. Skin is tossed out back for the wildlife. Right now that means two feral cats. I get the flat cans of kippers/herring and sauced fish too. I check them a bit for bones. Skin again often goes out back. I've occasionally gotten a bit of, well, gristle/fin. Anyway, not great eats so it's good to check. That goes into compost pile. There's a brand that does salmon fillet in sauce in the tin. I like to use the sauce as a vinagrette and the fish on/in the salad. Rice, quinoa, lentils, or greens are all good salads. I rarely get them because they are pricey, even on sale. Sardines I've done whole mashed up out of the can, anchovies too. I wish I could find sardine paste around here like I can find anchovy paste. Often I want a goodly dab or few rather than a whole can....See MoreAm I the only one in Canada, heck in NAmerica with a PUFFER FISH? ;)
Comments (28)I knew someone might "call me out" on this planting of PF ;). For sure as it stands right now there is not enough room for it :(. (Although there it will probably be ok this year being its first full year in the ground.) Going forward I cant move PF but I might be able to move something else. Either that or reluctantly I may need to do some pruning of this PF each early spring....See More- 9 years ago
