Okay, I'll leave it be and hope for the best. The pine nuggets seemed perfect, with some pieces being dime sized at the largest and some being really fine mulchy stuff. I'll see if I can get a picture when I go down to my mother's house this weekend, I don't remember the brand name. Was a massive bag for pretty reasonable though, I've used that stuff for nearly ALL of my plants this last repotting season. While most are houseplants, for edibles I planted an olive and a cherry tree in soil amended with it. Guess I'll just see what happens over the winter!

google just recently changed their logo and icon to the lower case g. But in some places the original upper case G is still in use. I have been seeing both also. This is the link to the official Google blog about the change of icon. blogged more They have been saying it may not be their final choice and I have to say I hope they do not keep the lower case g, they had a great brand recognizable icon with the upper case G, why mess with it? It was what everyone knew and recognized. if you happen to have firefox there is a neat little add-on called favicon picker 2 that lets you pick the favicon of your choice and google is one of the ones you can choose. Here is the link to favicon picker Plus you can save that capitol G icon to your pc and then by using the change icon option put that capitol G in place as the icon for Google on your pc. Just do a regular google search, when the search is returned go to the bottom of the page where the Gooooooogle is displayed, right click on the G and save as to your pc, you now have the capitol G to use as your icon. Here are the directions on how to do that if you need them. Go to the Google home page, and enter any old search criteria, providing it'll return more than one page of results. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and right-click on the "G" of "Gooooooooooogle". A menu will pop up; from here follow the instructions relevant to your version of Windows. Windows XP: click on "Save picture as", and select "Bitmap" as the file type, give it a sensible name (such as "Google G") and save it somewhere safe -- C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ is probably as good a place as any. Windows 9x/Me/NT/2000: click on "Copy". Open Paint (Start/Accessories/Paint), set the image size to 1x1 pixels (it's in "Image properties" or somewhere -- I don't have 9x installed anywhere any more so I can't check, sorry!) Now select Edit/Paste; Paint will ask you if you want the image enlarged -- click "Yes". Now select File/Save, and save the picture as a bitmap somewhere safe -- see the XP instructions above. All versions: once the "G" is saved somewhere, right click on the shortcut icon. Click on "Change icon..." and type the path and filename you saved the "G" as, for example "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\Google G.bmp". Click "Ok" then "Ok" again, and that's it! Now right-click on the shortcut on your desktop, then click on "Change icon..." Click "Browse" IF you are a firefox user and use greasemonkey they have a script for it. I turned 60 a few weeks ago. I can't believe I'm even typing that! It was nothing for me turning 50. But 60 is just shocking to me. I'm grateful to be in good overall health. I've never been a gym-goer or a strict dieter, but I've always been active, eaten well, maintained my weight, drink little, used sunscreen, etc. I keep up with everyone in the family whether it's hiking a mountain, doing heavy yard work, housework, kayaking, swimming, ice skating. I don't think my grandkids ever consider that I might be too old to join in any activity. So strange, as I never saw my own grandmother in a bathing suit and can't remember any of the grandparents even going for a long walk. My DH is even more athletic than I am - but he's only 59 ;) He still plays ice hockey once a week on a men's league with my 37 yr. old SIL. The only real issue I have with aging is my eyes. Why did I never appreciate perfect vision?! I didn't need reading glasses till into my 50's. Then 3 yrs. ago I needed help for distance, too. Thought I solved things by getting Progressive contacts, but my eyes became sensitive to them so I can only wear them for several hours at a time. I'm supposed to do eye scrubs morning & night followed by hot compresses. All this to just see clearly and comfortably. Boo. I know that if that's my only complaint I am one lucky person. My biggest fear is Alzheimer's. My Mom was afflicted beginning in her late '70's. She was otherwise healthy and active. Took no meds other than a multivitamin. I was her primary caregiver for the 3 yrs. before she passed. It was hell on earth for her in her moments of lucidity to realize she was losing her mind. She'd been a (wonderful) nurse for 40 yrs. and at one time worked with geropsych patients. Toward the end she did not recognize I was there and would cry, pointing to my picture saying, "She never comes anymore". It was heartbreaking. If I let myself dwell on it, I am terrified it might happen to me. So I try to focus on the present and do the best I can to stay mentally & physically healthy.

I ditto what Tina Marie said. I use instagram a lot and very much enjoy it. I follow home designers, fashion and skin care/make up people. I find a lot of products I want to purchase that way. It's good and bad. I often find things I need that way, but I also probably purchase way more clothing than I need because of instagram. On the other hand, I find out about sales that I probably would not otherwise know about. I've pretty much stopped scrolling and just watch stories of the limited set of people I follow. There are links to the products in the stories and I find that very helpful. Pinterest, on the other hand, has never made sense to me. I've tried it (because my daughter told me to) and I just cannot see the appeal.
