Comments (83)After watching Justified (I am nearly finished) I am on to Deadwood. I never thought I would like it but it is a period show and has Timothy Olyphant playing a similar character as he does in Justified. I adore his character on Justified... plus just looking at him! lol So, I think I will really like Deadwood. Will keep you posted!!...See MoreFavorites on Netflix?
Comments (45)"Last Cab to Darwin" - Aussie road trip movie - a dying man drives cross country thru Outback to reach a eauthanasia doctor .... and unexpected things keep occuring. "The Imitation Game" fascinating true story of a sorta semi-autistic genius type who cracks nazi code thus shortening the war by several yrs. Both these were good - and imho any movie that gets me to cry is good! Wondering what other movie options are there besides netflix? Saw the last batch of listings of "new" films and its ALL CRAP - nothing but murders and weird .... and I do mean weird... sexual behaviors. Like to think Im open minded but Jeez Louise. Some things Id rather not know about. I watch a lot of movies and Im to the point where Ive seen ev I want to see on Netflix basic membership -I would upgrade my membership except I realllly dont want to mess around with sending dvds back and forth--- ughhhh! Would much rather watch online?...See MoreNetflix/prime recommendations
Comments (64)Late to the discussion as usual... My sister was recently raving about Mrs. Maizel to me, but I have yet to check it out. I have recently discovered Documentary Now! on Netflix & really enjoy its escapist silly-ness. It's from a couple of years ago & I don't know how I missed it, but there is truly such a wealth of good entertainment nowadays, I don't know how anyone can keep up. Helen Mirren introduces every episode, Bill Hader & Fred Armisen star & executive producer is Lorne Michaels. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4677934/ I prefer comedy to drama, so I really don't follow the dark & sober stuff, tho hubby does....See MoreAnything good on Netflix?
Comments (33)Marcy -- Thanks. I suspect we watched "Suits" as freebies on Amazon. (We are so cheap!) I thought maybe we'd get Season 7 free on Netflix. DIL loves "The Crown", and I think we can see that on Netflix. (I'm so old that I was in London the year after ERII received her crown -- and followed Princess Margaret's well-publicized capers.) DH likes "Victoria", and we've recorded that. (I think it lacks depth and is cheaply produced; cast of...ten?) I think "The Guardian" was recommended on KT. We're in the middle of Season 1. We like it; astounded to see how many seasons there are! Our library had DVD's of "Intelligence" (filmed in Vancouver) and "Spiral" (French police show -- with the dishy window dresser, 'Pierre', of "The Paradise")....See Moremaggiepatty
