You might like the series "Wanted."

    Definitely "Hell on Wheels."

Watched one last week, cannot find the name of it now, out-of-work fisherman cheating on his wife. Not very good.

I am watching the Godfather trilogy for about the 20th time in my life.

My Hubby watches it all the time, there's nothing on it for me. I take that back, I did watch "The Tudors" which was great.

I don't know if any of the folks here like The Flash, but I've been watching it lately and I love it!

Socks, was that Murder on the Cape? I have it on my list, but if it's that bad I won't bother.

JoAnn, sounds like you want something light. I have a couple old movies on my list that might fit that category... Definitely Maybe and Bridget Jones's Baby. Might watch one tonight.

Have been slowly streaming Godless. Mudbound was good, racism and all.

I'd like to start watching Stranger Things. Typically not into sci-fi, but I've heard only great things about the series!

Rita, did you watch The Crown?

My favorite is Heartland. Also enjoyed Reign and Hell on Wheels.

    Thanks I'll check them out.

Is "Suits" on Netflix? We haven't seen Season 7, and Netflix has offered us another free one-month trial, good until the end of January.

Socks - I watched the first episode of The Crown and couldn't get into it. It seems like the selections on Netflix are mainly geared for men and anyone under the age of 40. So much violence! We have other TV's and satellite but there's nothing on. We used to have 2 PBS stations here and recently the one owned by USF sold the station and there's nothing on it now. We borrowed Game of Thrones DVD's from our son but there are so many characters I can't follow what's going on and so lost interest. It's a good thing I have other interests to occupy me other than TV.

I watch a lot of stuff on Netflix, and I'm neither male nor under 40. lol

The Crown is amazing. We're currently watching Peaky Blinders after having seen it recommended here. Ozark is also excellent. Broadchurch is great!

As for movies, I watched "Our Souls at Night" after it was mentioned here. While it was a good time-passer on a flight, the ending pissed me off so badly that it left a bad taste in my mouth for the whole movie. I also watched "Moonrise Kingdom" on that flight, and was mildly entertained, but I'd never have watched the whole thing had I not been stuck on a plane for hours. lol

I love The Crown, Tales of Irish Castles, Great British Castles, Midsomer Murders, NCIS reruns and now a new sci fi called The Travelers!

Oh - The Last Post! It's also excellent!

chisue, Suits is on Amazon. We're starting season 4 this evening.

    Cindymac Stranger Things is excellent!!!

Yes, Cindy Murder on the Cape. I thought it was a waste of time. But give it a try, you might like it.

We just started watching Ozark , and watched 3 episodes already. There are 10 episodes, and season 2 is starting soon.

Saw a beautiful movie last night just by chance. It's called Little Boy, I loved it. Told all my sibs and they fell in love with it too.

We just watched Black Mirror. Four seasons, but all four seasons are very short. It's a modern day techno Twilight Zone type show. Each episode has a new cast and different story line.

Debby, I've been seeing that advertised. Thanks for the recommendation!

I seem to let netflix ride. Not necessarily wanting to cancel, but not really watching it either. I did watch the series "when calls the heart" Was that netflix or prime? Not sure. I really wanted to watch Grace and Frankie but couldn't get past some of the language. I admit I didn't give it much of a chance but I didn't figure it would get any better. So many movies today has language that seems so unnecessary to have an otherwise really good movie. signed-grumpy :(

Don't recall seeing either of these mentioned in this topic's various threads: Atypical, series about an autistic boy and his family and The Most Beautiful Hands of Delhi. It's an "indie" feel series from Sweden that has primarily English dialogue. We enjoyed them both very much.

The Crown! Also, if you like Westerns Godless (stars Lady Mary from Downton) was good. I also really liked Anne of Green Gables (the darker more emotional view of the classic. Mudbound was a good period piece as well.

We watch a lot of dark shows, and at times we're looking for lighter fare. Along the lines of Castle, Rizzoli & Isles, etc. There's a Canadian show called Private Eyes. It has some light-hearted banter between the two. It's very widely watched around the world. Filmed in Toronto showing Toronto streets, cityscape, etc.

What exactly is a dark show?

Marcy -- Thanks. I suspect we watched "Suits" as freebies on Amazon. (We are so cheap!) I thought maybe we'd get Season 7 free on Netflix. DIL loves "The Crown", and I think we can see that on Netflix. (I'm so old that I was in London the year after ERII received her crown -- and followed Princess Margaret's well-publicized capers.)

DH likes "Victoria", and we've recorded that. (I think it lacks depth and is cheaply produced; cast of...ten?)

I think "The Guardian" was recommended on KT. We're in the middle of Season 1. We like it; astounded to see how many seasons there are!

Our library had DVD's of "Intelligence" (filmed in Vancouver) and "Spiral" (French police show -- with the dishy window dresser, 'Pierre', of "The Paradise").

I like Suits a lot--somebody up above mentioned it.

JoAnn, a dark show is heavy with drama, and disturbing. Things like Happy Valley (anything but Happy!), Marcella, Dr. Foster. These are British shows and to me, are dark.

Someone mentioned the language on Grace and Frankie. Has anyone noticed the language on Suits this year?? I don't recall them ever saying what they do now, in the past.

It will be interesting to see how Meghan Markel gets written out. Mike also wants out as well, so it will be Harvey, Lewis Litt, Donna and the new associate.

The Crown managed a season and a half without having to resort to gratuitous nudity and then it happened. Just for the one episode though.

Just finished binge watching Arrested Development. Hilarious.

Now I'm watching the entire Harry Potter collection on HBO.

Not on Netflix, but I think it is available on Hula, but I am watching on demand through my cable provider. The original Will & Grace. I'm probably in about 5 episodes of the 1st season. I was surprised I liked the current remake as much as the original.

Longmire! just finished season 6. Just loved this series. I'm very upset it wasn't renewed.
