Does anyone have anything good to say about Viking?
Comments (117)We bought entire suite of Viking Appliances 4 years ago. 36" dual fuel range replaced 3 times under warranty. Built in panal ready fridge replaced once. Built in dishwasher just had a pump replaced. Only 2 people live in the home. So glad I had extended warranty. Almost forgot the convection microwave replaced once and broke twice. I have no idea how reliable the other "premium brands" are. Appliances in the old kitchen were 25 years old still running....See MoreNetflixers--streamed any good movies lately?
Comments (36)We've watched two of the four segments of Midsomer Murders, Set 22. (On a DVD from our library.) We must be getting close to having seen 100 of these mysteries. We have one more segment of The Paradise to watch. (Recorded on DVR from PBS.) I hear there is to be another season of this adaptation of an Emile Zola story....See MoreNeed a good 36" range - anything good under $5000?
Comments (10)Additionally, CR is looking for the best for the least money, not the best for your particular budget, and certainly not the best of the best just because it's best. CR picks are usually adequate. And cheap. Here in the Appliances Forum are people who cook and care about how an appliance works in general, not just in a particular set of tests which aren't always applicable. Besides BlueStar, there's American Range, Five Star, DCS, some Italian brands, etc., in your price range. I don't know much about ranges in general, but if you search the forum you'll learn more about them All cooking equipment has quirks, so it's a matter of choosing the one that suits you best. You can find out more about the details at online retailers like AJMadison and Universal-akb. BlueStar, btw, at least some of them, can come in any color on the standard list (over 200), though I don't know if that costs more....See MoreFeel Good Netflix Movie
Comments (13)Thank you for the recommendation, nekotish. We just watched it and enjoyed it. The song “What do you do with a drunken sailor” was on, believe it or not, a children’s tape we used to play in the car. Kind of fun to sing along with a two-year-old! He grew up to be neither a drinker nor a sailor....See MoreUser
