Comments (20)Many of the developers of wind farms have begun placing their turbines in off-the-land locations. A large lake, for instance, would not take up land space and the winds are just as predictable. The Gulf of Mexico will have hundreds of wind turbines within the next decade. As to waterfowl being affected by the movement of the turbine blades, most birds would recognize the situation if the first bird were to be caught in the slowly moving blades. The rest of the flock would veer away and only a few animals would be harmed. In the case of Canada Geese, that would not amount to a large percentage of those animals that are considered pests where I live. Comments (7)You might remember that Smudge likes bringing us pillows from the couch. Every nite he takes one off the couch and drags it into the bedroom for us. Every morning there's a pillow beside the bed. He often does it when we're out as well, and we always check to see where a pillow might be. One morning it was in the tub wedged under the spout. Crowds of onlookers gathered to take pictures and shoot videos of Gadsden's Noccalula Falls this morning, swelled by heavy rains and shooting steam into the air. - 9 years ago2nd completed bathroom. This one had the ceiling raised 5", took out a tiny shower stall, opened up the wall & added a full size tub(must have been an option when built, you could pay more for the added space) . This is the $15 Habitat granite slab...

Muraysmom, Raven and others....Thank you! I'm always glad when it's done. The kitchen is next. Raven...Home Depot tile prices here are far better than the Habitat here....weird. .49 cents a sq foot...then I cut the tiles...did a pavestone patio pattern on the floor in these 2. I was VERY impressed with the outcome of your projects Raven! and may need to ask more advice from YOU in the future.

lgmd....I totally agree with you. The new vanities with feet are the same height as a kitchen counter, adds 4". Then the bowl is another 6" tall.....then I pushed the sink back in the corner to free up counter space. This house is 4 levels, lots of stairs. Even the redwood decking is multi level. The person who rents this house will be in pretty good shape just to maneuver around the house. It's near a big park and creek trail. If a person is short...maybe a child, then there are two other bathrooms to choose from.
My renters are generally just out of college, has a ton of tuition debt , new job with a big paycheck, a dog(running companion) and a cat or two(apartments won't accept cats or big dogs, but I will). Or military, will be here 3 years then PCS. I got 100 applicants for the last one that became available.
