my advice would be to fully remove all remnants of Norton from the pc and replace it with either the free AVAST or Microsoft Security Essential free. No reason to pay that kind of money and have that kind of hassle. to fully remove Norton using app remover does a good job Using AppRemover what version of windows are you running on that pc? you can use app remover to get rid of Norton then go to one of these and install one of these AV programs. Avast Free Antivirus I use AVAST and have for several years Microsoft Security Essentials depending on which version of windows you are using you can use the windows firewall if using vista or windows 7, if xp you can go with one of the free ones like zone alarm that gives you some options

I too screwed up by using Bona Polish after their cleaner started making my prefinished floors look dull. Our home was new construction and the dog was bringing in mud from the backyard (no grass yet) so needed to clean almost daily. A big thank you to the person who suggested using KrudKutter! Took 2 days on my hands and knees to do about 2200 square feet I but got all that polish off! Used a sponge mop to spread the KrudKutter and let it sit for a few minutes. Then wiped the yuck polish off with a towel soaked in warm water. Then thoroughly dried the area I had just cleaned with a fresh dry towel. You could actually see the demarcation between the "clean area" and the area that still had polish on it. I only use ammonia free glass keener now - in the Bona mop with their microfiber pads. That's the only thing I saved that is linked to Bona. I hope this experience will be helpful to others! And thanks again to the people who posted their good advice! If it's black, then it's cutback adhesive which is asphalt based and contains asbestos. It's best to just place 1/4" drywall over it and encapsulate it in place. Or you can remove the drywall completely and replace it, but that's more the job of a professional as you don't want to introduce any asbestos into the air. If it's not black, then just rip the drywall down and replace it. Fixing lots of gouges is too labor intensive compared to the relatively cheap cost of drywall.

It is a good observation dadoes. I do not have an answer. Mamapinky, when I finished washing with stpp the whole room had something it did not have before. So, I know that whatever ingredient it is was definitely strong and it was not in the clothes before. I have rinsed the clothes and the washer many times - with TOL detergent, with vinegar rinsed by hand. Nothing has made the clothes or the washer back to their original form again.
