I just came home from a business to trip to find those cucumber beetles had destroyed a bunch of my rose blooms, so they can be quite damaging! I’d post pictures, but they are really icky. They attack all rose flowers, but are especially partial to the yellow/orange/copper range...Julia Child , Just Joey, Westerland, they turned Granada flowers into rainbow Swiss cheese :( I spent the morning knocking them into soapy hot water...they did not enjoy their steam bath! It took hours but I think I got the great majority of them. Then I sprayed all the new growth with neem, and will monitor if they’re gone. I also bought sticky yellow bug sheets from Amazon, 1 day free (emergency) delivery! Lilyfinch, your blooms are really beautiful, I do agree you should break out that neem.

I had 2 that looked dead as could be. I went to shovel one out and noticed the new growth and I am surprised how quickly they take off. What’s weird is that my wife’s apricot and cream hybrid tea stayed green the entire winter and the canes were small in width. My climber had thick canes and when I unwrapped it, the canes were black all the way down to about 3” off the ground. If your in Michigan or around it I think we got to -25 a couple of times. It was crazy cold this last winter.
