Comments (18)Let's see slept in.. Served hubby a breakfast appetizer of Chocolate Maple Bacon Cupcake, cream cheese danish slices and coffee...(I ate a cupcake too.) Then started a pot of Great Northerns and Ham hock. Then made a bacon, leek potato fritata. Got the dishwasher running and just got back from town. Kamren needed basketball shoes for his up coming season, we also picked up another jr size basketball. Now home..I need to finish kitchen clean up. (Baked 6 different batches of cupcakes yesterday for our New Years Eve party.) It's a most fabulously sunny brisk day out..I think I'll click the dog on her leash and take a nice stroll. 37F outside....See MoreYour Favorite ODD Cold Cut
Comments (25)I love olive loaf and no one else here at this house will eat it so I seldom buy it. Another one is a regional thing, Nebraska Roll which is a glorified bologna but has a tangy flavor to it. I eat it in sandwiches and will just eat it by the slice. Now growing up I lived pickle sandwiches, bread that was buttered and slices of homemade dill pickles in between the slices. Comments (24)It is easy here in the norther tier of the US in the winter months to feel sessions of depression etc, but since I have had my vit D level checked and found it was low and taking extra it really makes a difference, but then I like cold weather. I love being outside, working on my hobbies, being with some people especially in my women's Bible group, being with my kids, grandkids and now with the 4 great grandkids, and yes, shopping by myself, even if I don't buy anything. Just watching people. In CA I loved to go outside as we had 5 acres in the mountains and in the sping seeing all the new baby quail, and other animals. So quiet so calming And yes, every morning I try to remember to say Hi to Jesus and ask for help for the day. Hope this finds you in a better mood and more postive spirits. Comments (57)I LOVE making cheese balls at Christmas. The tree is fabulous but I would disagree with the instructions of only 48 hour longevity. They can last a very long time if properly covered. The dinner at the wedding was very good. No cake--doughnuts. I guess that is the new thing individualizing wedding deserts. Bacon is a decadent treat I don't allow myself much of, then to candy it seems like OVER KILL on the naughty but that is just me. Cold and stuck together sort of solidified the "no thank you" for me....See MoreLynnNM
