Refrigerator in small open concept town home
Comments (33)Be careful though - the doors must stick out past the surrounding panels/cabinets/counters to allow the doors to open fully and to allow the interior drawers to not only open fully, but also be removed for cleaning. For counter-depth refrigerators, it's just the box/carcass of the refrigerator that is "hidden"; the doors (and handles) need to stick out. So, as RococoGurl mentioned, carefully measure the alcove. Most CD refrigerators are around 36" wide x 70" or so tall - if your alcove isn't at least that wide x tall, your selection will be limited (especially in the mainstream manufacturers). So, you need to check the specs of your chosen refrigerator and determine what you need: The width of the opening = at least the width of the refrigerator + whatever is needed for air circulation on the sides Height of opening = at least the height of the refrigerator + whatever is needed for air circulation on the top...See MoreHelp! Comments (2)Before we sold our last home, I had a really excellent painter come in and paint the bedrooms, a few walls of our great room, our home office, and the entryway in Dover White by Sherwin Williams. He loved it and actually used it on a few subsequent projects. We also loved it. My kitchen and dining area were in a color called "green plum passion" by valspar, and the Dover White complemented this color as well. I think it would look great with a satin white trim and a bright white ceiling. We had similar color tile to what you have on your kitchen floor, which went well with the Dover White. A friend recently painted her condo (which is an interior unit and doesn't get a ton of light) in Sherwin Willams 9109 Natural Linen. She says when she buys/builds her next house she'll use it everywhere... Hope these thoughts are helpful....See MoreAwkward Open Concept Living Room, Dining Room, and Kitchen Layout
Comments (4)I will look to see if I have a floor plan, but if not, how would i go about creating one for you. I know I sound like an idiot but obviously I am clueless as to this kind of stuff and wish my husband would just let me hire a decorator lol! However, he just now gave me another big fat NO to hiring one lol! So needless to say, I am going to have to learn how to do this on my own and asking for help, however annoying I may be, is the only thing I know to do! So I apologize in advance for my ignorance! I will look for the floor plan! Thanks for responding!...See MoreNeed help with open/small concept living room decorating
Comments (3)I dislike orange/yellow and prefer cool tones or neutrals (kitchen counters are black with brown speckles). I was thinking of getting neutral couches (tan) and adding color with rugs and pillows and other decor. I’m avoiding gray as it seems it doesn’t go well with the lighter wood floor. I’d welcome any thoughts or ideas....See Morekellithee
