Need help to identify my succulents, thank you so much!
Comments (7)#1 is Mammillaria vetula ssp. gracilis cv. 'Arizona Snowcap' ssp = subspecies cv = cultivar (cultivated variation) #3 is Echeveria something or other. Comments (7)Need a much more detailed/close up photo to determine.......and without any flowers, even that may not be enough :-)) However, if you need to replace the trellis, there is no reason you can't cut the clematis back now. At most, you will just be losing a seasons flowers. Folks think it'll root & it does, sometimes a handful of roots, but it never grows into another plant, 9/10 times it fails. Perhaps Cactus McHarris can speak to this since he'd grown various Aeoniums outdoors in San Diego. Whether or not one can propagate Aeoniums from leaves pls. I'm guessing he'll say not likely. Don't know where you are or what heat you get, but these can go dormant in Summer, closing their rosettes somewhat...See Morerina_Ontario,Canada 5a
