Wow!!! I can only imagine what he grew with that lamp...lol Mike It looked like the very same one I use to use that didn't do the job you describe that one as doing. I hope it continues to do well for your tree. Let me borrow one of them for my succulents, will you? Keep up with the feeding regimen. I am just wondering if your tree might need a rest such as mine do? Maybe it will throw off a ton of flowers for you. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Have you though about cutting back on Nitrogen? Sorry I could not get sooner to thank you all for posting so far, but I had some internet connection problems. All seems ok though now! Thanks for sharing all of your opinions and even pictures!!!! Thank you Mike for the congrats! This year is my first pretty good year getting fruit on most of my trees, some for the first time. I had given them a plant light last year, along with a new fertilizer I found this spring, and that seemed to help. I still need to get a better light for them now that they are inside. I started a post a month of so ago, and got a lot of helpful info from you all (thanks!). I am just deciding whether I am going to keep them upstairs in the living area where they have always been when I bring them in every winter, or transport them down to the basement. If I do basement, I would go HID, but if I stay upstairs, the HID would be too much, so I would just need something to supplement. Even the cheapy GE plant spot light I got last year helped well compared to just window light, so I am sure if I moved up to something a little better, I will be able to keep my leaves, flowers, and fruit attached for the whole winter season. ANyway, so I am finally getting good fruit to grow after all these years of waiting and learning how to keep them happy while indoors for the winter. (oh, and another MAJOR thing I learned from here that helped was how to make good REAL container mixes for citrus). Although I did not think of this before until mksmth said so and mksmth is right, that the flowers are all white so far. I will check again over the next few days as they get bigger. A few should open up soon. I guess the last test will be tasting it. But I feel so happy that the tree got fruit for the first time, that I am waiting till the last possible moment to pick them because I am enjoying just seeing them on the tree finally! I am also wondering what would be the correct thing to make with the first lemons. I would like to make something special with them just because they are special. Any suggestions? LOL! I have read most of these post...yet I still do not seem to see an answer for me...I have lemons, maybe a handful that have been growing for almost 10 months! and still are green as grass....Are they ripe? Can I eat them? Or do I need to just say "Hey, it will take a year and a half to get a yellow lemon?"..it is for sure a meyer lemon plant..*sigh* Oh I live in mid to north Georgia..Highs are low 90's and cools are 68ish..

I am near montreal so I think it is zone 5a or 5b No choice to winter it inside since temps go down to -35 celcius when I bought the tree spring 2015 it was tagged as a meyer lemon but I am not convinced it is really one. I bought some meyer lemon at the grocery store to compare the ones I harvested and mine were much bigger and more tart to what I remember.. Also i always thought that the leaves on my tree were much bigger and of different shape than the ones i see in pictures or that i have seen on other meyer lemon trees... the mix in this one is mostly the mix it came with from the nursery containing a lot of perlite mixed with a bit of mix I used to prepare for my cacti ( mostly sand small gravel and a little earth from my garden) for my lime tree i made a mix of pre mixed cacti and succulents mix with added sand , bark and coarse perlite
