We're about halfway through our remodel of our mid century modern home, and I thought I'd share some shots of where we are now. The project includes changing the configuration of the interior, adding 500 sq feet of space (a bedroom, laundry room and 2 baths), replacing all systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roof), all new exterior (it had termite damage and dry rot), building a pool and outdoor lounge, and re-landscaping the outdoor to make it drought tolerant.

This was a MCM tear down when we found it. It narrowly escaped being bulldozed. We loved the lines, and wanted to save it. Here's what it looked like when we found it:

black carpet:

after two and a half years of planning, saving and researching and 6 months of construction, we are here:

this is the formerly dingy master bedroom:

Greenhouse is gone, and the pool construction begins:
caissons for the infinity edge pool. The property has a steep sloped lot which required 14 caissons to support the pool and outdoor hardscape area:

more to come!
