I have the GE Harmony and I just love it. We also have 6 people in our family and I do a lot of laundry. It replaced my '97 TL GE with a regular agitator and I think the Harmony does a better job. You can fit tons of clothes in it. I'm not sure about the king-sized comforter. It would depend on how thick it is. I wash my king down blanket with no problem. Thicker than a blanket but thinner than a regular comforter. To give you an idea of what it holds, I can wash 2 sets of king sheets comfortably.

You don't say whether your FP washer is a TL or FL. In my opinion and experience, having to buy ANY washer & dryer these days is a dilemma in itself. If you buy some Top Loaders you can have some control over the water level; otherwise, forget that with any and all Front Loaders. My Speed Queen FL (cost $1800) is built like a tank and works like a charm except for the water level (13.4 gal split between washing and rinsing!???). San Diego Steve will tell you that is plenty and he has even posted that he sold that model and bought the newer one which uses even less total water per wash cycle (11.xx gal I think). He and I are in complete disagreement on how 4 gal of water can rinse a set of King size sheets that remain in a wad. So FL vs TL is the first hurdle. I'm not sure how much water a SQ TL uses, but that would be my first question. My FL spins like crazy. I would have bought an FP but they are not sold anywhere in the Dallas, TX area. Maytag used to make a Centennial model which my daughter in law has and it has a deep rinse which fills the tub, but might no longer be made. Sorry not to have any more helpful information. The Chinese factor would scare me off as well with the FP. Good luck and please post your final decision with the outcome. It will be up to date and may help others.

@ dave1812 The fact that you are happy with a "very nice" washer that doesn't work as advertised and the fact that you would prefer messing with your hoses instead of contacting Samsung to have them look at your machine tells me that you probably knew from the beginning that this was an issue on your end. That's why you reacted so negatively to my suggestion that you hold Samsung accountable for your heating issues. I didn't think that calling Samsung for service when your machine wasn't working as expected would be considered "erroneous" or cause you to label me as a "know it all". You will also recall that this thread was not about your problem - you hijacked this thread to make it about you. I don't recall a single post from you in this thread where you made any attempt to address the OP's issue or offer assistance. At least some of us try to help people instead of coming here to complain. Next time you have an issue, I suggest you post your own thread regarding your specific problem instead of hijacking someone else's thread and going way off topic. Yes, I'm interested, I just can't tell if it's a good thing (since you mentioned Maytag...I'm not a fan). If it's not (a good thing), please don't tell me. It's time to stop obsessing over laundry appliances and be happy with what I have...which I owe all to Home Depot for sending the wrong dryer. Originally NEW WASHER just wasn't big enough with the water restrictions so Lowes allowed me to match the Home Depot dryer by upgrading my washer :) So don't ruin it for me lol
