Just had to share this

In my email this morning I got something worse than the Cyber-attack . It was from (yuck,) I can barely bring myself to type this name: TRUMP!!!
First, don't know where or how they got my email address, but I do know that it happens. Addressed me by name.. SUE, yes, in caps. Told me that his son Eric had a great idea: "If we can get every one of my supporters to contribute $20.17, just one time," yada, yada, yada......
You can imagine the rest of it. First I will say this: I am not one of his supporters. He needs to clean up his contacts!!

Okay, I feel better now.

A billionaire with his hand out? That's pretty amusing. I wonder if it came from the other side. That would make sense.

I would seriously doubt if it actually came from him or anybody in his camp?!?

Dear Sue, I'm so sorry this happened to you and hope you feel better soon. Heartfelt best wishes for a complete recovery which I predict will take place on November 8.

As for your computer, just delete that "nasty" email and everything should be ok.

    Sincerely, Another Sue

Why would anyone doubt that it was from his campaign?

I've gotten mail from his campaign asking for donations.

I've gotten a couple of phone calls from the Trump campaign on my land line "inviting" me to rallies. I have also gotten text messages on my cell (which is a phone number that only 4 family members have, although I do have some business-related apps on it) from the Clinton campaign.

I've actually been harassed less by campaign workers this year than in previous.

Scam totally! I hope no one falls for it no matter what candidates name is on it. That is not a difficult one to figure out.

Can you be sure that was from Trump? It sounds like a scam to me. A quick way to collect a few bucks from the unwary.

I get those in my inbox daily, both from Hillary and Trump. Total scam.

Nope not a scam. I was getting them too but I clicked through into his site and hit unsubscribe and they finally went away. I never give money to pols, if they want that job so bad, they can pay for it! No one ever paid me to get a job.

Luckily Trump hasn't emailed me yet.

This sounds terrible, but I'm not donating to anyone's campaign this year.

HEY...He really likes me!! Got another "love note" from him. This one says "You have my word, etc." The only word I want to hear from him is: "I fired myself!" He is so mentally deranged it is actually sad, and yet his family refuses to help him in that regard. I've used a PC long enough to know a scam or a spam when I see one. Let Trump use his ill-begotten money this way if he chooses.

Hi, socks..(another Sue) your heartfelt wishes gave me a real chuckle. I do believe that laughter is the best medicine. Actually I will be getting a boost in the area of my heart on November First, when I will be getting a Pacemaker Implant. That should help me over the rough spots, if there are any.

Well, that's a big deal, Sue, a pacemaker. Best wishes for a trouble-free procedure and hope you are good as new after.

He's been complaining about all of the criticism that the media's been giving him.

But it seems to me that, as the messages that he gives are so changeable and inconsistent, with a substantial amount of claiming that he's been guilty of misrepresentation ... they've been giving him quite a lot of free publicity.

Isn't it rather usual for politicians to have to pay to get their messages out to the general public, as much of it isn't covered as "news"?

I think he's complaining about selective coverage, which it has been. John King of CNN stated yesterday that the Dems 'masterfully made their campaign about him' rather than the issues.

Hillary is known for her changing messages also, aren't they all depending on who they are trying to win over. Neither one of them really cover the issues in depth. For the most part they have been too busy trashing each other to talk about the country. Then again, that's what the media focuses on and blasts us with. They play him like a flute.

The entire election is pretty disgusting, imo, and the media an untrustworthy disgrace.

Oh, please. When all else fails, blame the messenger (media).

Turmp says vague, used-car-salesman things, like "Trust me," and "I guarantee it." Clinton has put forward real proposals. He is a professional blowhard with zero qualifications to lead a nation. Even his *businesses* tank and he moves on.

There's no there there in GOP's witch hunt over Hillary. "J'Accuse" is all there is, with nothing at the end of it. It's gone on for *years*. It's *gas*, not 'smoke'.

People have partisan blinders on if they can't see how heavily biased the media is (with or without Trump). People who hate Trump can see it. Sides shouldn't matter. The corruption of the process is what is important - regardless if the media is working in your side's favor. That might not be the case in the future as the tides and the landscape changes.

Interesting how so many people have no problem with the email scandal. What is strange, unprecedented and deeply troubling is the Secretary of State and potential President going around the federal government, conducting the business of the country through their private server and disregarding national security protocols. Followed by destroying government property and evidence. Obviously the Clintons do operate above the law. How more clearly could they demonstrate that. I can only imagine the Dems outrage if the Republicans had operated this way.

No, these things should not be accepted because it's your party or because something is working in your favor. That is a dangerous path to go down. Think ahead. Think about the bigger picture.

Changing the subject and arguing, well, look how bad Trump is completely misses the point.

Trump is a scary cartoon, the media is a dangerous joke and WTH is with the Clintons thinking they are above the federal government.

    Pathetic.

Comments from conservative commentator Andrew Sullivan:

    Tavis Smiley: ….

It is laughable to me–I do mean I literally sit back and kick my legs laughing–at how the media now is nearly universally condemning–the mainstream media–now condemning Mr. Trump.

I told some folk the other day, somebody said to me, “Well, you know, the media builds you up and they tear you down.” I said, “Well, that’s right, but not really. Your conjunction is wrong. The media doesn’t build you up and tear you down. The media builds you up TO tear you down. They make money coming and going. They make money both ways. It’s a game.”

So my question is, how complicit has the media been, the mainstream media, in helping to make Donald Trump and now that complicity has turned to condemnation? I’m bothered by that.

Andrew Sullivan: I’m bothered too, Tavis. Look, when leading network chief, Leslie Moonves, could say, “Donald Trump’s been really great for business. He may be awful for the country, but great for business, great for CBS”, there you have an example of an elite, a member of elite, utterly trashing his own country, utterly abdicating any civic responsibility.

No one who cared about the news and cared about our democracy would have given Donald Trump’s neo-fascist rallies complete 24/7 airing on major networks, would interrupt actual news events to give us those spectacles because they knew simply that ratings is the only criterion they care about.

I mean, at some point, our republic is in deep disrepair because these people are not acting as citizens before they’re acting as profit makers. You know, when you go back to Plato’s account of how tyrants emerge out of democracies, the one thing he said that is also essential to that is that the elites become more interested in making money than in the fate and the character of their republic.

I've had 2 more emails from Trump and one from Conway. No need to post them here; I put them in my Archives, just because. This thread has taken a turn I didn't expect, but interesting. Our own little, not Hot Topics, more like Cool Comments.

It’s sad that our choice is either a non political
narcissistic blowhard or a political corrupt criminal who if was an ordinary
citizen would be in federal prison. I don’t care for either one of them and can’t
see either will make our country safer, more prosperous or bring us all
together. As a country I wish we could do better.
