Eze Breeze vinly tint and window width question

For a new 14' X 22' porch being built using Eze Breeze windows, I am considered smoke tint vinyl versus clear. I'm trying to avoid the dark gray or bronze tints. The smoke tint seems to offer a slight tint yet remain see-through (which I like) from the outside. Anyone have any experience with Eze Breeze smoke tint vinyl versus clear vinyl.

About window width: For the longer 22 foot side of the porch, the plan has a Eze Breeze door in the center with 6 windows planned (3 on each side), each mounted inside 4 x 4 cedar posts with PVC sleeves. The post openings are currently 31 inches without the sleeves.
I am wondering if that is narrow, really a design question. Our builder has also suggested adding a two inch aluminium frame for window mounting inside of the posts (to better ensure the windows stay square). That will make the windows just 27" wide.
Any thoughts here? Great plan? Make the front section windows wider? (Windows have not yet been ordered.)
