BEAUTIFUL!! I love the upper pull and round knob, I have brass on my lacanche, it hasn't tarnished yet, but there are brass cleaners, I would let it do it's thing and then decide if you want to clean it

Here are photos of our unlacquered brass faucet set. This is 6 months of use. You can use a polish and polish it up at any time of it gets too worn looking for you.

We ended up ordering from Coastal Bronze for our cabinet hardware. We got the solid bronze casted handles ( same thing as Sun Valley Bronze but a bit less expensize). Attached are photos of the handles too

Here are my Rejuvenation Canfield unlacquered brass handles after about four years of heavy use by a young family. They are really good quality. We removed them before the remodel and will reuse them in our new kitchen. As long as they're off, I am going to clean them up, but if you appreciate living finishes, these are beautiful. I thought about unlacquered brass for our new faucet but decided on polished nickel to mix up the finishes a bit.

Kay - Thank you for responding! Wow, beyond gorgeous!!!! May I ask you where you bought your air gap and water dispenser? We are thinking of getting the hot water only filtered water dispenser since the new fridge will have filtered cold water.

Stiley - Thank you for sharing! Absolutely gorgeous!!! I’m was not sure if I will love the patina on our unlacquered brass, but your pictures and Kay’s pictures makes me feel confident that I will. I’m just not the type (or have time to polish/clean them with one toddler boy and a newborn baby - lol!).

@HU-131230266 We bought our entire set with the hand sprayer from Newport Brass. It’s easy to polish up with some Brasso if needed. You can go to their website for all the pieces.

I personally did not want unlacquered brass handles and knobs. Cleaning or polishing up the facuet set is one thing, but having to take off handles and knobs to do this was beyond something i was willing to do. This is why we went with a non living finish handle and knob set. It is more of a champange color, but they are all solid bronze, which makes them incredibly durable. They almost look a bit aged already but the finish will never change. I will post a photo here

Kay- great post! Thanks for the information! Our cabinets are being installed today. We opted for the Rohl Georgian Era faucet in unlaquered brass and went with the Rejuvenation Hardware cabinet pulls in their Aged Brass finish which should not patina. I love the look of the patina on the brass but was fearful it might be too much on all the cabinet hardware.

Jill- are you still happy you got the aged brass pulls vs the unlacquered brass?

Yes! I have the aged brass pulls on all cabinets and went with unlaquered brass for the Rohl faucet, side sprayer, air gap, disposal button and filtered water spout. We decided against the soap dispenser having read reviews that it clogged and wasps hard to refill. We really did not have room for it anyway. Regarding the unlaquered finish, we knew what we were getting, it’s not for everyone, but for us it was the right decision.

Jill~ how often do you have to polish or are you just letting it age? A friend just purchased and installed Rohl fixtures with French brass finish and hates the way they look just after a month.

Wondering if retailer failed to advise her how unlaquered brass ages. Ours had us sign a form acknowledging we were aware. Additionally, she showed us photos of another customers at 3 months, 6 and 1 year. Personally, we like the aged look, but like I said previously, we were going for a certain look in our kitchen. We did not want a shiny new look. Our cabinet hardware is shiny and has the protective coating so it will retain the shine. I would estimate since we finished our kitchen we have polished about 6 times, but that’s not to maintain a shine, it’s just satisfying. I would highly recommend you do not select unlaquered finish if you expect to keep it shiny by polishing. It turns very quickly. Will post photos later today or tomorrow.

Beautiful kitchen Jill! We went with the GE Cafe matte white appliances with bronze handles too in our remodel. Very happy with them!

The store rep and a Rohl rep is meeting at her house tomorrow. They did not explain it to her that it was a living brass finish with no warranty. She only used it in the master bathroom. She expected it to stay same as the sample.

I was very impressed with Rohl. We went through 2 side sprayers before receiving one that didn’t leak. They never asked questions and paid for shipping until they got it right.

They definitely make a quality product and have warranties on their products, just not on some of the finishes. Good to hear they took care of your issue until you were satisfied!

@Jill Hilts, have you been happy with the side sprayer or is it difficult to use? I am considering the DeVOL unlacquered brass tap for my kitchen, but I am torn whether I should get it with or without the sprayer. I like a sprayer, but if it has issues or isn't very functional, I would prefer to live without it. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

@jen south yes! i literally just had it installed two days ago. I love it so far! It's beautiful, very nice and solid, and well made. Install did give our plumber a couple of troubles, but i think it was mostly because of the type of under-mount apron sink we have, but he was able to get it to work.
