Where can I get packing paper at the best price?

I checked with the news paper about end rolls but I'd rather find paper already cut. l Any wisdom?

We always get it at uHaul. If only shopping based on price, just make sure the paper isn't dusty.

Hi stedye, I am also in Atlanta and have bought most of our furniture in NC. The safest dealer is Boyles. They are large, well established and most importantly, they own their own shipping trucks. The process can often breakdown at shipping and Boyles does not have this problem. The nearest location is in the Hickory Furniture Mart. The quickest way to get there is I85 to Gastonia, then 321 straight into Hickory. I don't know if Boyles carries those brands or not but you could make a call to find out. Good luck.

Too bad you weren't posting this last summer. I bought a vintage dining set like that, (similar) to give to my son and his new wife, but they didn't want to go that traditional, so I put them on my local CL and made a profit. I found mine on Craigslist. If your budget is limited and you can upholster or have access someone who can, why not try looking for vintage and add the right fabric/nail-head trim? You might try search terms like "Jacobean". Red

Well there is the bulk sleeve of them from Lehman's that others have posted about in the past. About 300-325 if I recall correctly. I also find some deals on the brand names ones on eBay sometimes but watch for free shipping. I'm was just throwing that out there but thanks for the insults. I expect no less from you. I have no idea where the OP lives. If you think there's something nefarious about my suggestion it's probably due to projection. Yes, LL does have some decent stuff. The OP asked for reasonable cost, not best quality. I've bought a few things there like legacy type products and older style Bamboo that's hard to find elsewhere now. LL has a lot of locations and one can visit one and determine whether a product is worth the cost. In your headlong rush to be nasty, as usual, you seem to be ignoring that a major portion of what's sold in the US is made in China. Just because it's made in China doesn't mean it's crap, though I'd prefer something domestic (and not cheap). The majority of LL lawsuits I'm aware of pertain to laminates, not wood. I think they had one regarding illegal wood sourcing also but that wouldn't pertain to quality. You last paragraph is great. Too bad you couldn't be less abrasive in the first one.

Find someone who still reads a paper newspaper and get their old papers for free, or get them from a recycling center. Works fine for most things now that most papers no longer use smudgy ink.

The Washington Post still "smears." I think old newspapers would be a huge risk for a real mess. (Actually did not know of non-smudgy ink.)

You can't remove the thread. And you should not remove it if you were able as someone on a future search will find your question and your solution. They also will see two differing experiences with newsprint ink still smearing.

I got it - a stack of several hundred sheets - and rolls of corrugated cardboard, from a store that specializes in packing supplies. Out in the industrial district, not in a shopping mall.

Shipping and distribution outlets near busy airports usually have lots of packing paper and cardboard to give away. I found my guy on Craigslist, and I get cardboard by the trailer load for nothing. Great for growing mushrooms.
