Comments (2)Ortho's southern lawn Weed B Gone does a fairly decent job of getting rid of broad leaf weeds. However in this high heat, here is a good possibility of scorching the turf. Best to turn a blind eye for now, wait until the beginning of Nov and combine this application with your pre emergent. By waiting till Nov and treating your whole yard with the Weed B Gone you will eliminate 99% of your broad leaf weeds for the entire winter....See MoreBona Traffic over paint?
Comments (8)I painted some floors where customers wanted a colored result, rather than attempt to use traditional stain. I used Benjamin Moore Aura and added traffic after the paint was totally dry. It has worked for me, but I do samples "in the lab" for every unorthodox technique I attempt. Testing HAS to be done in such instances. The results can be awesome, but you have to test if you want to reasonably confident that what you've designed will work in real time....See MoreWood floors help - Bona Traffic over UV oil prefinished floors?
Comments (4)UV Oil could be several things. UV means "UV cured". That must is certain. The "oil" could mean "oil based polyurethane" (doubt it but it is possible) or it could mean an oil finish (hardwax oil finish or penetrating oil). Before you do anything you need to KNOW...I mean KNOW what that "UV oil" stands for. You can only apply "like to like". Bona Traffic is a polyurethane finish. It can only go over urethane or polyurethane finishes!!! It cannot go over OIL finishes or hardwax oil finishes. Ah...now you see the problem. "Oil" finish could mean something like Olie Oil finish or it could mean "oil based" or solvent based URETHANE. If you mix them up, you need a whole new floor. Whomsoever told you to use Bona Traffic just about ruined your floors. http://admflooringdesign.com/shop/catalog/laguna-natural/ Here is what ADM Floors says: All of our oil based floors require to be cleaned immediately after installation with a natural wood flooring soap and then treated with wood flooring maintenance oil at least once. You can find Woca Natural Soap and Woca Maintenance Oil available for sale on our Accessories page. Contact our staff if you have questions or need more information....See MoreThoughts on a dining room set-up that doesn't block traffic?
Comments (11)Don''t want to burst bubbles, but sometimes bad design is just that. And without BIG$$$$$$$$$$$$$ you live with it. This was horrendous design. ....just poorly thought out for whatever reasons. Don't do an oval table. Get something drop leaf...or expandable. save for the next and better house. Or have a "flip top' console made at 20 x 84.........flip it open and its a dining table. Against the wall it's 20 x 84.
