We spent the last two weeks on Block Island. One of the highlights of the trip was joining the Block Island Club. My wife's family always used to join when they came to the island when she was growing up, and her father even helped import the first 420 sailboats the club used. Its friendly and low key, and has sailboats, kayaks, paddleboards, a couple of tennis courts with a really good instructor, and even held a potluck cocktail party one evening.A sailboat race hosted by the club. The clubhouse. The sunset cocktail party. The view from the tennis courts as a scary storm moved in.

An apple pie to finish off that hopefully tasty Thanksgiving dinner!

Casey, I think that is no crow!! That is a magnificent RAVEN!! crows mostly have yellow straight bills ravens have black bills and a curve downward, some crows do have black bills however. Then there are black grackles I think they are which are neither crows or ravens but make a lot of noise lol. Beautiful picture, what ever it may be,may need to snatch that if you don't mind. But their voices and calls are very different. the sounds of Raven and Crow Fall is most definitely late according to that glorious tree! wow what a gorgeous show off it is! edit I think I am wrong! I thought most crows have yellow beaks but looking it up just now they don't. So I was wrong that is likely a crow darn it i wanted it to be a raven lol.

Jasdip - that looks yummy! Is that Pavlova? One of my favorite desserts, and I enjoy a couple of dollops of whipped cream on top of the fruit. Glenda - DH and I went on an Alaska cruise once and just loved it. Really enjoyed that we could just leave the ship once in port and explore the town, no tour guide required unless for a specific attraction.
