Comments (12)I cannot resist saying the phrase "building negative brand equity" is one of the most meaningless, corporate doubletalk, quasi-special-ed type phrases I've heard to date. It enforces my opinion that no real scholarship is done in 'business schools'. And whatever purported scholar authored said study is more likely to toss his own feces than to say something meaningful. How does one build negative equity? That doesn't even make sense. But I digress...... If you mean it makes you not want to buy the crap I agree. I will never buy honey oat cheerios. They can shove them into their greedy capitalist orifices. But saying things like "building negative equity", that's coined by people who want to sound like they know something....but who were actually strangled by their mother's placenta. As for the ads, I think my firewall / virus software disables them.........See MoreAnnoying ad
Comments (2)I'm sorry to see this. I've only been back a little while after giving up because of the ad-related technical problems, different computer set-up now and no problems thus far. I've missed being here....See MoreAnnoying ad on GW freezing up page and computer
Comments (13)NHB--the others who are more computer savvy may be able to give more pointers, but I even forget that I've changed to Firefox because to me it looks so similar to IE (other than the ads not appearing now). Yes, you can still get hotmail--I use that also. I've never used just hotmail to store my mail though, so I use Windows Live to actually receive it on my computer though that's not necessary--just my preference since I have Windows 7 operating system. After installing Firefox, you just would likely want to select your home page (as you do with IE) and personalize the toolbar so it has the menu items you use most (as you do with IE, also). I love the faster page loading time and now--this adblocking is absolutely great! If you download Mozilla Firefox and don't like it, you can always uninstall. I downloaded it, tried it first, then after seeing it worked fine for accessing the internet, I quit using IE altogether. Thanks again to gr8day for asking your question (even though that particular ad wasn't hassling me) and to the others for the tip....See Moregreenclaws UK, Zone 8a
