Using our home canned foods: Chicken and chicken stock

My husband has a cold and I offered to make him chicken soup. There's a lot going on right now, and I don't have much time or energy to spare, but I have a pantry filled with home canned goodness. I pulled 3 pints of chicken stock and 1 pint of canned boneless-skinless chicken from the shelf. Heated them up in a pot and tossed in a chopped up carrot, onion and mucho garlic, with a little salt, pepper and cayenne. Added a touch of turmeric just because it's so good for you. Simmered a bit until the veggies were crisp-tender and we had easy-to-make, healthy, home-made chicken soup in little more time than it took to open the jars! He instantly felt better and so did I (because I ate half the soup!). It was so easy and tasted so good!
