vegetable stock?

anoriginal

Often times, TV chefs will mention saving odds and ends of stuff to make stock... like all the wing tip s from chicken wings, bones from whatever, even vegetable scraps. Wondering if idea/thought I just had was hair-brained or genius??

Saving the water veggies were cooked in and reusing to cook whatever veggie you wanted next. Water/liquid could be kept in fridge between uses. If you're cooking some sort of veggie in it periodically/daily, would you end up with veggie stock that would be usable?? Or would you have to consider what veggies you cooked in it... like flavors that might clash?
