need help picking living room color!!

As you can see from the pictures my living room walls are
white and have a fireplace with a color I don’t know what to call (red/orange?)
.. Anyways, I’m receiving a living room set for free from a cousin and as you
can see from the pictures as well they are a light and dark brown set. She’s also giving me the tables as well. What color would you paint my living room? I’m
not going for any particular style or look, mainly something that matches or
goes well.

beautiful!

Since white is a cool, maybe even chilly or cold, color, & your browns & greens are rich yummy warm colors, use a warm color that harmonizes & yet shows off your furnishings by contrasting with them.

I'm thinking the greeny color in the lamp base in the last picture is a good one to experiment with.

BM Revere Pewter would look very nice. BM Clay Beige is also nice. Would you consider painting the fireplace? You could really change the look of the fireplace & the entire room.

I have no problem with going dark in the space, as you need a foil for the vibrant draperies, but, IMO, iron ore isn't going to work...the yellow and black...think bumble bee. Consider, instead, this color: Amethyst Shadow 1441 B.M. It should look gorgeous with the rug. The tones of this semi-flush ceiling light would be stunning.

Sorry so many comments, internet slow and won't take a lot of pics at once. Walls Bittersweet stem, accent wall as above. I'd paint the door the wall color since you don't have trim around it. It looks unfinished in these pics. not sure these are the right colors but they give you the idea.

as of right now I'd like to keep it that way although I know you're right. I looked up those colors and I will go with the first. I'll post pics once it's done

Revere Pewter is a gray/beige. It looks gray in dim lighting & beige in bright lighting. I love how it changes through the day & is really a warm gray. It has a very very slight green undertone, but most people can't see it.

I would go with a gray green to contrast with all that brown/beige. Some pattern would be welcome, too.
