Please help me pick a wall color for living room!
Comments (18)I think the mirror is John Richard, very expensive. You can of course get the same look much cheaper if you look around but always buy the best you can afford. I do think the chair is too small in scale. I would forgo the chair at this point because you already have a good amount of seating and concentrate on the rest of the room. I also think the drapes should up over the windows, add fabric to the bottoms if you can't replace them. I also would not worry so much about making the room lighter/brighter at this point. Worry about making it pretty and making it work for your lifestyle. This is a very special room in that whatever you do to the walls will have major, major impact to the room. That includes the windows. This is way I think wallpaper would make such a great investment and maybe save you money in the long run. Otherwise I think you are going to have to have lots of art to keep it from being dull. There are some wonderful people here to help you every step of the way. I know your room can look fabulous with careful investments. Do you have anything else to go in the room? What are your favorite colors? Look at websites like Schumacher for inspritation. Comments (5)beautiful! Since white is a cool, maybe even chilly or cold, color, & your browns & greens are rich yummy warm colors, use a warm color that harmonizes & yet shows off your furnishings by contrasting with them. I'm thinking the greeny color in the lamp base in the last picture is a good one to experiment with. Have fun!...See MoreI need help deciding the color for my living room Walls

Comments (10)No, I don't think it would look awful. I love big art pieces. The important thing though is do YOU like it? It's your home and it's important that it please YOU. Looking at your picture, I'm wondering if the art above the sofa isn't a tad big for that wall. (I really like it, btw.) Usually, the eye appreciates some breathing room around art. If you have painter's tape, try taping out that canvas' size above your couch and see just how much wall it covers. That might help you visualize its negative space better. Good luck and enjoy the process!...See Moretozmo1
