Removing White Glue from Wood

I purchased a pair of wood deer from a resale shop.

The antler on one was broken at the time of purchase but I thought I could just use wood glue to reattach it.

However, the previous owner used white glue to try to repair the break and there are remnants of the white glue on the piece, making a clean attachment impossible.

I tried using a pin to remove the white glue but it was a slow and laborious process.

Any ideas for removing white glue from wood?
