I am so happy, I just had to share :)
Comments (17)Re: the rototiller, it was (well he didn't say, but I think it was $325 or so)...cheaper than renting, if you think about it, we have spent at least $75 a year renting the big beast from the rental place, and had to hork it into and out of our van, and use it ALL DAY LONG in order to 'get our money worth' and of course, he didn't do something quite right and I had to live with it (and it was too big for me to use)...this one is about 1/2 the size (but still much bigger than a mini-tiller). I told him, "this is something we will use for the rest of our lives, don't skimp!" He seemed pleased with himself, he's probably the only man in the world who doesn't like grass, doesn't like to mow, so he's perfectly happy to tear out as much of the lawn as I can fill up with WS stuff!...See MoreI thought I had pinched off all buds, but one got by me
Comments (9)Jroot, that looks so pretty, and I can almost smell it here. I think you gave me a cutting from Frosty Pink last year in the fall, and it is one of the few cuttings that is doing very well for me. It rooted up pretty well, and is now about two feet tall. It has finally gone outside for a few hours now that we have gotten some warm sunny days, and seems to have just taken off. I am hoping mine will bloom like that for me this summer. Love all the pics people share. Thanks....See MoreI just had to share :-)
Comments (28)Hello Gardengal, Nckvilledudes, Buyorsell and everyone. I loved the Yukiokoshi. It is a stunner. I really admire the petal formation. Since we're sharing... I just came back from picking up two more Clems that I have been wanting for quite a while. I bought Josephine (evijohill) and Arctic Queen (Evitwo)! I am very excited about these new additions. I will be clearing out some japanese iris to make room for them on the trellis. I love the fall sales, they were marked down 30%. I was very pleasantly surprised to find them at my local nursery. I was just getting ready to make the leap and order online....See MoreTotally OT, but I just had to share : )
Comments (32)Phenixk- Can't believe I came across your post. We are considering using Dorado(now Phildadelpia) Soapstone for a soapstone countertop and were wondering if it was a good choice. There is another company in the area that also sounds good, but as you said, Joe and Andy have been great to talk with so far. I am still trying to decide what to do-soapstone (?) or not, and would love to see a countertop that has been used in someone's home to see if it holds up as well as they say it does. How long have you had yours? Are you pleased with the wear, etc.? Also, I really like the idea of the lighter gray color, but I am not sure if it would stay that way (without oiling it) like they say, and look good. Our other option is to use 12 x 12 retified porcelian tiles. I want a primitive country look since I have a house full of antiques....See Morebeachpea3
