Pictures of plants & roses in pH 8 alkaline clay in July and onwards

Below pics. are taken mid-July and onwards in my garden of heavy clay, pH near 8, rock-hard with minerals. I have 38" of rain per year .. and acidic rain at pH 5.6 helps to dissolve the hard-minerals.

When I don't get rain, I use gypsum/sulfate of potash, or acidic agent like cracked corn (pH 4) or used lime & lemon to neutralize my tap water at pH near 9. Some pics. taken today, July 19:


The above yellow perennial does well in rock-hard clay.


Dee-list bought from RU as own-root in mid-May, now at 3 feet tall and 5 buds. Background is alyssum and white Marie Pavie, taken July 19.
