I usually "click through" to Amazon from one of two websites of podcasts I like to listen to. I wonder if using one overrides the other and if so, which would get the money? I'm guessing, but I'd think the click through commission is a much higher percentage than the charitable sharing Amazon is proposing, but maybe not

definitely. I support our local library fund for major expansion/remodel which will finally begin in the spring. Several years of ongoing fund-raising, which included a state grant AND a wonderful person's generous $1 million dollar donation. So helpful and needed by our small town to get into the 21st century! Amazon Smile is just another way to help.

You have to start at the Amazon Smile page or your charity doesn't get the donation. Our donations go to the high school band.

Every time I'm just looking at Amazon, it seems I get the Smile option. When I'm seriously in there to buy, the option just doesn't appear, and I forget that it exists... :(

There are apps, or whatever they're called, that you can download to make your browser go automatically to Smile whenever you go to Amazon. I know there's one for Chrome, so there are probably others.

As for Bookmarking, I would imagine you could just go to www.smile.amazon.com, and when you get there, Bookmark it.

Kath, go to www.smile.amazon.com (I linked it above), and the site will probably offer you a choice of charities. Look at the fine print--you can type in the charity of your choice, and they'll tell you if it is part of the program.

We support the Kern Valley Search & Rescue a local volunteer
group that buys all there own equipment and get called out several times every
weekend for mostly river rescues but are always on call to help out the
sheriffs and forestry guys in any emergency.

I put Amazon smile on my bookmark bar. Easy to find. Kath just google Amazon smile. You can either search for a specific charity or browse a list.

Yes, when I purchase from Amazon, it is through Amazon Smile. I have it bookmarked. My purchase donations go to amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research. My brother died from complications of AIDS in 1994.

Yes I always use smile.amazon.com and I picked The Bucks County Genealogical Society for my charity. Whenever I forget to start at smile I get a reminder and it makes it very easy!

Yes. Living out here in the middle of nowhere, I shop on-line (especially Amazon) a lot, and it's nice to be able to give back to a worthy organization of your choice.

We use Amazon a lot and sadly never knew about it, but we do now, thanks to you! We've benefited from an organization listed for my husband's illness and I'm really pleased that now we will be able to give back. I've also shared it with all the members in my family so they will as well.
