Happy Canada Day; However, I think my Aloe FAQ was pooched
Comments (8)Dear Tamara, It was false pride displayed and false slight was felt - it just gives some bad information in it (the use of sand), which strikes me as strange as having that information 10 years back, when we Aloe aficionados knew even then of its deleterious effects as a recommended ingredient for a generic Aloe soil mix, one that had to be simple to acquire the parts for and make. Whether you know that I wrote most of it, or don't, is of little matter. I'm happy to update it, but it's got some information wrong that would likely be deleterious to Aloe growing. I approve the adds of the bells and whistles (you got to put the butts in the seats), but the sand suggestion leads me to believe that we Aloe were folk not involved. I could, of course, not be remembering correctly and have written the blasphemous words myself. I of course, as contributor to the first Aloe FAQ, feel a nurturing sense to correct and polish our current version so that it's unequivocal, as written and used, that even an Aloe at the precipice of death can likely be brought back, provided you use a sandless recipe that the community is happy to provide IVillage again, in an effort to make the Aloe FAQ is usable to one and all, particularly those with Aloe vera (the real one, but mainly the non-real ones)....See MoreHappy Canada Day!!!! 153rd Birthday
Comments (13)While it was an accident of birth that made us Canadian rather than a citizen/resident of some other country ... we are thankful for our good fortune. We are thankful for our freedom to build our lives as we feel appropriate, without the need to watch our mouth, our step and our choice of friends lest we make some dictator and his cohorts unhappy. Many of us have a measure of respect and affection for our fellow citizens and the communities we share and feel it important to nurture them and leave them better for our children. Also to work with the people of other nations to work toward a world community where we can build increasing respect and trust. Maybe the corona virus showing us that we are all in the same boat may help us to be more willing to work together. Let us, as we celebrate alone, be thankful for our good fortune and rededicate ourselves to building a country of which we can be thankfully proud, folks. Some of us feel that, in today's world, democracy is at risk and feel that we should work toward strengthening it ... and our freedom, as well. Good wishes for having a great year ahead, fellow Canadians. And similar good wishes for you, our valued neighbours to our south, as you celebrate your country and its people in a few days. ole joyfuelled...See MoreHappy Canada Day to our Northern Friends!

They got one to see Heart & Elton-John a few years ago. I SHOULD get one!! I wanna go to a CFL Game....& maybe a Winnipeg Jets/MN Wild game up THERE!! DW & DD have been to Banff 3?? times. I've always had to stay home with the dog & work. It's sure a long-a$$ drive from Fargo they tell me! Some DAMN GOOD Rock groups from Canadia obviously! Heart, RUSH, BTO, Loverboy, etc. Saying that.....now I've gotta go crank my fave Canadian screamers, BTO's "Sledgehammer"....;-) "Take off ya Hoser....." ;-) Faron...See More
