first time orchid, who do you think has the best deal?
Comments (26)My wife and I ordered orchids from Houserman a year and a half ago and we were send orchids that were in very poor condition and not the sizes we ordered.Several were in such bad shape that we immediately contacted them and was told there was nothing they would do.We took all of the orchids putchased from them to the N.C.S.U Lab for testing due to the feat that they could be infected with a virus.I was contacted in a week and told that infact the orchids we delivered to them from Housermans orchids infacted tested positive for virus' and it was recomended that they all be distroyed. We had contacted them first by phone and informed them of the poor condition of the orchids they shipped us along with the fact that the 2 Angracieum Sesquipedial in spike was not shipped as ordered as was not the 3 Vanillia Planifolia or the 5 assorted Neofinetia's we had ordered. That was when we were told there was nothing they would do.After we recieved the information from the lab we contacted them again and again we were told that they were not going to do anything about refunding our money, replacing the plants and that they never shorted shipments therefore we could forget recieving the missing plants from them.We have been growing orchids in my family for 40 years and never had such a problem with a grower or fellow orchidist before and we have contacted them on several occasions since but no replies to our problem. So they have given me no choice but to let everyone know to Stay away!!!!!!!!!!!! Chris Perhaps with the word getting our Housermans will start treating customers better. Returning their calls and emails would be one place to start!...See MoreBest places to buy towel bars and hooks?
Comments (13)Ebay! I got all of my towel bars, rings, tp holders etc. from there. I got oil rubbed bronze for my master bath and chrome for the guest bath all made by Price Pfister a couple of years back. It was about half the price maybe less then it was in one of the big stores (maybe Lowes?) If you want to see it in person you can order one to be sure you like it before getting the whole set. I also got my cabinet knobs on Ebay for the last two houses I had and will again for the new house. The same exact knobs and pulls that cost $8 to $12 in stores cost $1 to $4 on Ebay. I always purchase just one to be sure I like the style and color before I order all of them. BTW I'm originally from LI too. That's too bad Fortunoff closed. I have a leather sofa and chair set I got from them that's going on seven years old that will probably last another ten years! It gets heavily used and abused by kids and dogs plus slept on by my 250 lb husband!...See MoreNeed name of quality brand (solid) towel bar?
Comments (5)I just received my Newport Brass towel rods, tp holder and wall faucet for our bathroom reno and they are absolutely incredible. I chose the polished nickel, which was a splurge, but after seeing the beautiful finish and feeling the weight (really heavy), I would have to say they were well worth the price!...See MoreYour 'Best-est' Towels?
Comments (13)THANK you all! Nice to learn some of you like the bamboo towels. I know, I know, I will have to trudge to some store and actually FEEL the goods, but knowing what has and has not 'come out in the wash' is useful. Everything looks good when it's new. Does anyone know what that 'bare' section is called? The band or bands near the towel ends. Just 'decorative'? It's sure useless. BTW, I did look at some towels at Costco the other day. Not what I want. What I WANT is to find my old Royal Velvets! LOL...See MoreMark Middleton
