Geez! That is phenomenal. I'm seriously jealous and am now adding this to my list of possible climbers for this Fall. Those plants have really taken off. May I ask what is the smaller pink rose in the vase?

thank you! the small pink rose are from a grocery store mini rose pot. no name!!! I carefully separated like 8 different rooted plants and planted them in my garden. they're happy! but not sure if they will survive my winter here, we will see :)

Ashley, I love your Raspberry Cream Twirl roses, and the detailed progress of the roses you have shown us with your photos. The bouquets are beautiful, too. I think I have the same grocery store mini as you have, and have grown it for about 6 years. If it is winter hardy in your area, it may grow a lot larger--mine has surprised me with its size. I'm in the zone7 part of Idaho, so I'm sure our winters are pretty different. Diane

Season two, these roses are crazy growers! All three in different locations of my yard and different sun exposures, all exploding like crazy! I pruned a ton in the early spring. I expect to reach 6 or more feet this year. Zone 5a Idaho

Mine is over 10ft now and no sign of stopping. I think this has the potential to get really huge in warm climates. Its in too small of pot and on own roots. I can just imagine if it was grafted and in the ground lol...

Ashley, do you have an update on your three Raspberry Cream Twirl bushes? I have two new bands and since we're in the same zone, and neighboring states, thought your experience could help me decide whether to plant them as short climbers or as shrubs, or both.

The do either just fine! I trim like a bush because I haven't set up anything for it to climb on. Let me find some pics from this year

Ashley I am so excited to read your post and seeing you got this rose. This is one of the first roses that I ever got when I started gardening in 2016. I feel confident you will continue to love it. It is fragrant, almost thornless and just beautiful. It also has very good black spot resistant in my area.

Here is mine on her 3rd year on the archway at the entrance to my home. I have one on each side .

Ashley, thank you so much for the quick response and current photo. Yours are such good bloomers and look great for still being pretty young roses. I'd never seen photos of it in colder zones. Those blooms are spectacular. This will definitely help me decide.

Dianela, your Raspberry CT is one of the best I've seen. We, in colder zones can't allow ourselves to even dream of getting that much height. You also get exceptional bloom power. I hope that's inherent in the rose, and not a special concoction you and Ashley brew up for your roses. Unless you share what it is, of course.

Ashley, your Pretty in Pink looks just as healthy, too, and your grocery store roses are beautiful. I'm trying some of those this year. Your little tuxedo kitty is adorable.

Dianela, Your RCT is massive! It must have been a heavenly fragrance when in full bloom this spring.
I bought this cute red striped rose at Trader Joe’s that Helen (bayareagirl) Id’ed as “Gigi” a mini-flora and it does great in 100 degree heat but not sure about cold tolerant. It has been in continuous bloom since spring. HMF says it only gets 6” tall, but it’s double that for me in my warm climate.

Stephanie, I have not seen any stripy ones at my Traders, but there's one on the south end of Spokane that has a better floral dept., so I will try there next time I go to town. I really wish I had grabbed the lavender and peach ones, but I thought they'd get more. Your Gigi is very special for a grocery store rose, and I will keep my eye open for that one, as well. Apparently these are hardy little things!

Flowers, I bought Gigi and 2 reds for Christmas decorations on my kitchen window sill last December. So look for it this holiday season. I treated all 3 the same, but the two reds slowly died by end of January. Gigi was looking so good with same care, I thought it might be something special and popped it into the garden.

My RCT from Heirloom ended up being a mislabel - probably 'Sky's the Limit'. But I've got the real deal from Northland now, in a gallon pot growing up for next spring.

Ashley, your 'Pretty in Pink Eden' make me hope next year mine puts out some blooms - it got knocked back quite a bit by last winter (it's first year here), so here's hoping this year's cane is a bit more hardy!

Thank you flowers very much. I really do think this rose is strong enough that it will put on a good size in your zone. I know we are warmer Here, but we went down to 9 degrees last winter and it never even lost its leaves. I am hopping it will be cane hardy in zone 5 for you, fingers crossed.

The only complaint I have about this rose is that it doesn’t shed the old blooms. I don’t know if this is something that would bother others, but I had to make my peace with seeing those old brown blooms I can’t reach to deadhead.

Stephanie, I'm impressed you got the other two red minis to live through January. Mine start turning yellow almost immediately. I don't keep the house too warm and I don't over water them. I stopped buying minis until I thought to try them outside. Looks like that's going to be the answer. My yellow one is still in the big blue Costco pot, but will go in the ground soon.

Dianela, I agree I don't like seeing dead blooms on the bushes, but roses that shed their spent blooms are not all that common in my garden. The ones that do are a real plus! I love hearing that RCT is so healthy and strong. I would never have thought your temps got that low. We haven't gotten much colder than that in recent years. If RCT gets even half as tall as yours I will be thrilled. I'm ok with relying on clematis to finish off the top of the arbors with roses that only make it half way up. There are some that may surprise me. Lunar Mist could make it all the way to the top if I ever get it planted.

I have had great success with my 2 Gigis overwintering. It can pretty darn cold here . If I ever see them again I would definitely grab a few more.

Kristine, that is such a beautiful bloom and the leaves look so healthy. How big are the blooms? The yellow one I got from Traders this year are a good 2 1/2". They got bigger after I put it outside.

I just love looking at everyone's beautiful pictures. Thank you all for posting them. I am getting flower and green starved as it has been so hot here that pretty much everything is sunburned and brown and not really flowering.
