Very nice...like the curves. Your design with the JM, blue spruce and grasses towards the end is your best mix of plants. I bet you did that one after the the soldier line-up with the grass, daylilly and barberry, lol. Thanks for sharing. Gives lots of folks ideas on how to improve their landscape.

Josephine, I'll have to give it to someone who appreciates tiny, inconsequential, picky little hosta that have to be pampered. Delta Dawn (What's that flower you have on...?) Sorry, flashback. Thank you, I have 2 Orange Marmalades, One by the road (the one shown) that gets salt spray and abuse during the winter and another....... That sits on a mostly shaded, all alone on a south facing slope out back by the shed, that also thrives (the hosta , not the shed). Sandy, that S&S amazes me. I used to think my Elegans were big until I bought an SS. I have three now that are in areas of different exposures and different soil types. It doesn't seem to matter they thrive and get huge...my kind of hosta; big beautiful brutes. Jon

Awww, Mama Emerald (and papa Emerald, too!) I can already tell you are going to be wonderful parents....in that you recognize the 'tease' your little 'love-blob' is being! (Ha, ha...camera stopped....now I'll perform!!). Get used to it.....this 'teasing' could go on for the rest of little love-blob's life! ~ And then.....this beautiful 'blob' translates into this magical head...complete with eyes, nose, mouth.....before you know it there will be eyelashes, fingers, toes, nails....Oh My! Please continue to take us along on this miracle journey with you and papa Emerald. We'd feel rejected if you didn't include us now!!! And as to the Christmas decorations.....good idea, but maybe you should hold off until just after Halloween. That would still give you time to set up the nursery after the decorations go up!
