Letter today from IRS
Comments (16)If you file jointly, I'm sure you'll only receive one check per household. And there's a workbook page you can fill out to find out how much you'll receive, I did it, took about 3 minutes, had to have the 1040 in hand. Woody and I will get $600, total. We're going to split it, save it for whatever we want later down the road. We should have gotten it by now, but it's late showing up. That's OK, I can wait. I get a little annoyed at some things I've read on other web sites where the peeps are crabbing about it, geez- they sound soooo greedy and demanding. Here is a link that might be useful: The calculator......See MoreIRS Phone Call Scam
Comments (6)I've received the IRS scam calls. I don't engage their ridiculousness, but would love to feign becoming hysterical when they tell me that the local police will come and arrest me if I don't pay, and then pretend that I'm having a heart attack and tell them to call 911. Then just go silent and see how long it takes for them to hang up....See MoreBoy, The IRS Is Really After Me!
Comments (20)Let's see, I have received: the IRS, "Account Member Services"; "Windows" and "Microsoft"; "information about the back brace/hearing aid/personal alarm that you ordered"; "you've been hacked"; once an invitation to tour the Southwest Airlines offices in a local suburb (non-existent); and I am sure that I am forgetting a few. Currently am getting frequent calls from various different "advisors" or "specialists", always with a different name, "calling on a recorded line" (I think we could have a thread devoted to all the different ones). Also lots of calls to my cell phone -- which I don't answer so I don't know what most of them are. However, the ones from the Chinese consulate always leave a message (in Chinese, but I believe I am being threatened with deportation from the USA unless I come up with some "fees"). I really started getting these, most clearly targeted to seniors, when my mother (who would be 96 if still living) became associated with my phone number....See MoreTWICE! Makes me feel special :o)
Comments (22)Christine Cates: The big red bush is Barberry(Crimson Pygmy is what nurseries near me sell). I grow it "and" Rose Glow Barberry, a new introduction to Barberries. The lime green plant...could be....maybe....varigated weigela or varigated red twig dogwood.......? Hope you get a confirmation from Glenda......See More- 9 years ago
