Would you paint thsee cabinets (bathroom)?
Comments (14)What has been said already..the stain works with the existing tile, the cabs look being in a good condition, upper cabinet adds storage. If to paint something-I'd pick something warmer for the walls but it might be very well that my monitor distorts the current color I think buyers want to see clean and functional, and you've got that. Leave them space for their decisions about colors, stains, mirrors, etc..if this mirror never bothered you beforehand-most likely it wont't bother the buyers, not when they decide in general whether it's a house for them or not. I'd style it all nicely, add a plant, nice towels (which I'm sure are already in your plan), call it a day. Many people are like me-they need it lovable and livable..if they'd rather have something changed they'd like to do it themselves when they have time and money (except for when it's something very not interesting but much needed like insulation and stuff..all the hidden mechanics of the house) Now, you can also know that you plan to list soon but in fact will take some time..that's something different then. That's how we ended up living with better bathroom tiles for three years..:) were going to list and then it happened differently. And it was very nice living with new better tiles. So if that's your situation-then just do what pleases you. In choosing the colors for vanity etc-always mind your floor..whatever color you choose it should be earthier, warmer, muddier version of it. So that your white will become cream or almond for example..etcetera...See MoreWhat color would you paint the bathroom?
Comments (12)I think that's going to be a lot more PURPLE on the wall that you're probably expecting. I do like the idea--just with a lot more gray. My husband is the opposite. He doesn't even notice colors. We once had a fight when I asked him to take something to the "blue bathroom" and he thought I was ridiculous to expect him to know which bathroom that was and that I was trying to pull some kind off fast one by referring to it as such. At the time we were in a 60s house with all original bathrooms. The whole bathrooms all had floor and wall tile (4x4 tile wainscoting to 4') that were one color with the walls above the tile and even ceiling painted the same color--because what a room with smurf blue everywhere needs is more blue. One was mint green, one smurf blue, and one was buttercup yellow. And the sinks, toilets, shower/tub were also the same color as the tile. Most memorable retort: "The walls are blue! The ceiling is blue! The toilet is blue! Even the toilet paper holder is blue! How can you not know that bathroom is blue???" Nope. Didn't know and couldn't believe that it was normal to remember something like that....See MoreWhat Color would you paint this bathroom?
Comments (2)White tile, wall and vanity will brighten the space. then you add color with changeable accent like towels and art. try tile samples against counters and tub. vanity and walls can be painted to go with those colors. if you choose a color you can vary the intensity like a pale blue grey on shiplap and a deeper shade on vanity. Or use strong color on vanity to contrast with the all white walls and tile....See MoreWhat color would you paint this bathroom?
Comments (9)What are other colors/patterns in the home? I am an avid fan of developing a cohesive and unified look throughout the home. That's not to say matchy matchy, but certainly be aware of the other colors/patterns in the home and find a dedicated connection. Paint stores have brochures that show how this can be done - on the internet also, of course. At the paint store you can also ask questions for a solution for your dilemma. I have a very eclectic look in my home, but it centers around modern art prints. Although there are a lot of different colors in my home, the consistency is that the walls are always off-white and the art is always modern....See Morepeggysugar
