Single hole vs. three hole sink faucets
Comments (12)I agree. We had to special order a single hole sink for our Kohler Fairfax faucet. We had a 2 handle one before. It is SO much easier now, both for temperature adjustment and cleaning. I think it's way better for the kids too--Now I feel like they might get warm water, instead of them just using the cold handle because it's too much of a hassle to adjust the temperature! Anyway, the Fairfax isn't at all modern, but it only comes in brushed nicked, not polished nickel. We're about to do our master bath remodel--I hope I can still get a 1-hole sink! Comments (18)My house is a tract home and I’m definitely aware that everything in it is builder basic and it doesn’t hurt my feelings LOL everything works well except for the broken but yeah it’s definitely Whatever the builder could get away with. When the previous owners built they did put in a few things like they upgraded the stair railing’s to wrought iron well fake rot iron and they put in hand scraped flooring in the living room as well as on the stairs and up in the hallways in the upstairs so overall it doesn’t feel builder basic but the longer I live here the more I kind of just want a little bit of flavor not a lot though. I looked up the lights in my bathroom just because I was curious and they cost like eight dollars at Home Depot and I’m sure the builder got them for much cheaper. I slowly wanna upgrade a few things but not go crazy. It’s interesting you said chrome all of our Fossett in the bathrooms are chrome and I’m not in love with him but I also don’t really think about them. I always thought chrome showed more water spots I saw a really beautiful black faucet But then mentally went through and thought do I need to then change my handles and all my door knobs in my house etc. so I just went with the stainless. I went to Lowe’s yesterday with my mom just to look at Fossetts and I actually found a really nice one on clearance for $100 new in box and it’s Kohler so that’s what I’m going to replace it with it’s definitely more sleek and modern looking than what I currently have but I like how simple it is. For now I bought a plug for the other hole, But I am talking with my husband about the air button for the disposal or were even potentially talking about a hot water dispenser but for now the plug was five bucks. I do like the idea of adding a dispenser for lotion because we keep a bottle of lotion out on the counter and I would like to clear that office possible so that’s a really good option but I’m guessing another pump is going to be expensive in comparison to the clearanced faucet. I just googled and can’t even find one!...See MoreTrouble finding a replacement faucet for three hole counter
Comments (4)Buy a single hole faucet with a pull down sprayer that comes with a matching soap dispenser, but please don't use the hole covering escutcheon that comes with a replacement faucet: ugly and hard to clean around. Buy another matching soap dispenser or better yet, a disposal button and kit....See MoreOne hole kitchen faucet in 3 hole 4" center set laundry sink?
Comments (7)So change of plans... Since that is a 2 hole sink - nothing with a base plate will work - they require 3 holes. You will need a faucet that is a single hole mount ( it must fit the opening of the sink ) You will have to off set the faucet and get a cap for the other hole The faucet you have might squeeze through the hole - you will have to check . You can also look into bar sink faucets - sometimes they have a smaller mounting requirement. This seems like the only option at this point. There are some brilliant people on here, maybe they have another idea other than returning the sink and getting the single hole version. Good luck...See Moreaehrenhaus
