Persil from Walmart - wasteful container
Comments (12)rococogurl.....Wow! I guess I am happy for you ;) I seriously hate it. Several loads smelled like "vomit" after they were dried. I thought I was crazy, and then I read several reviews on Amazon, where users said the Walmart persil smelled like throw up after drying. I was like...OMG, I am not "that" crazy! LOL I have used German Persil for close to 20 years, and the Walmart Persil was the first time that several cooking stains did not come out of my dish towels, and several "kid" stains in my son's clothing remained. Bummer!!...See MorePersil PROFESSIONAL arrived today. H U G E!!!
Comments (29)Judging by the German Persil Pro powder: oxy bleach comes 4th and bleach activator 6th. Zeolite, a water softener popular here, is somewhere in the middle. That's good - I find - because this stuff does not dissolve and is the reason why dedicated cycles for dark clothes use a lot of water in the rinses (to flush visible zeolite residue off the clothes). Persil Megaperls has zeolite as the first ingredient. Finally there are enzymes at the end of the list. Six of them, which sounds pretty good....See Morelook what l saw at walmart today.
Comments (8)It may be quite a bit of difference when watering plants indoors or outside; overhead watering is just fine if water can dry up easily. But it may take longer indoors, especially if air circulation is poor. If plant is potted in water retaining soil, that could make it even worse - wet feet and wet crown. So best suggestion may be not to keep water sitting in the rosettes of succulent plants. When outdoors, all my succulents get rained on and if I need to water, I use garden hose - so it is overhead watering. Indoors, watering can is used. Most growers use peat to grow plants. It is inexpensive and very light - much better for shipping. They are also set up to keep peat moist just right, temperatures, light and air circulation much more even than hobbyist usually can. They often fertilize plants more than needed in order to get fast growth. They do not keep plants for long term, but ship them out to be sold....See MorePicked up at Walmart today... Begonia New Star
Comments (8)Yes, the tuber just disappears for good - probably rot. Sometimes they make it to the next year but not worth holding on to (for me). Just buy a new crop of different varieties the next year and treat them as annuals. Bought this large hanging basket from Sam's for around $8 last year. All gone by August but I brought the basket into the garage for winter. Watered recently and put outside so if I see nothing come up by end of April, it will go to the compost bin. These went even faster and I was hoping the coir-lined basket would help keep the tubers from staying wet. Made the mistake of putting this boliviensis hybrid in the same pot as New Guinea impatiens (wife's idea) and I think it just got shaded out. Same type, same mistake, different pot and colors. This one stayed in its original pot but probably shaded out or overwatered. Anyway, I know that any tuberous in our area have a 90% chance of being an annual; kind of like pansies, cyclamens, cineraria, ranunculus, and so many more spring bloomers....See MoreTara Blackstock
