Hey breezy! You and me both! LOL I had a different rainhead when we remodeled Mbath at previous house. It was also large and I loved it! Though when I washed my hair, I sometimes used DH's. ( I have very thick hair) We are probably still a month away of being in. The latests setback was the stair color. I told the GC I wanted kind of pecan colored to match my floor. Some how I ended up with BURGANDY! So, they were stripped and sanded and now 2 1/2 weeks later since starting the staining, they are the correct color. Sometimes I just want to pull my hair out! My Ultra Bain air tub looks similar. Has raised area at the, er, rear. Has arm rests and handles and a head rest. It's acrylic and heated. I chose mine to fit *me*, since DH prefers a shower. I was able to 'try one on' in a plumbing company's showroom. I wanted to be able to brace my feet so I wouldn't just slip right down underwater. I also wanted something that would fill in a short time. (We have a whirlpool tub that I never use because it takes ages to fill.) My tub is 14 years old. Zero problems. Easy to clean. Air tubs 'blow out' remaining water a few minutes after you exit them so there is no mold forming in the tubing. I have a regular fill faucet and a spray rinse on a diverter.

Your question and title make no sense in its present form. What exactly are you trying to accomplish ? Do you have a tub and a shower that you want to share a valve with , or do you have a combination tub/ shower or or just a tub that you want a filler and a hand shower ? It would take a VERY long time to fill a tub up with a handshower wand. It's possible, but not at all practical.

Does the tub filler have to be wall mounted? Our tub filler is Delta Vero. It's deck-mounted in a space of 5 inches. The diverter is on the back of the spout. I can't remember the name of the hand shower, but it is Delta. It's squared off rather than having a round head. The hand shower hose is out of sight until you pull it out. In my experience, pretty much all hand shower dribble a little bit after you turn them off, so I always make sure it's positioned so that it drips into the tub rather than onto the tub deck. I did a quick look at wall mounted tub fillers, and just based on the pictures I don't see diverters on them. Maybe the logic goes that it will be further from you, requiring you to reach more to get to the diverter. So maybe they are designed without diverters on purpose?
