What is best for raised garden beds using potting soil and compost?

Anna

I installed a drip system last year but I didn't plan it right. So, on to round two.

Question 1: I am using potting soil and compost in raised beds.
Is that considered loamy soil?. Will that work with drippers? I feel like last year the water just went straight down and didn't disperse.

There are some plants where going straight down is fine - i think- (blueberries, squash) but some that have a larger area to cover (lettuce, carrots, asparagus). Does it make sense to use drippers on plants with single "stem" and sprayers on plants that cover a larger area? If I use sprayers, how many can I use on one line? Would bubblers be a better choice than sprayers?

Question 2: I might have to make several lines to get under the recommended GPH per line. I have to attach the hose to my system, if I then do several T's at the beginning to split into 4-5 main lines, is that okay?

Thank you!!!!!!!
