FWIW, here's another Odorata. This one is in a NoCal cemetery. As y'all can see, it's a beauty. SOMEONE clearly prunes it (for better or for worse) and this one does not mildew. Another rose faces it, from the opposite side of a staircase. That one is a Tea, so I think this one was rootstock for a similar rose, now gone. Odorata DOES mildew badly in my coastal SoCal location. Jeri

This looks like "Smith's Parish," A China Rose, and one of the "Bermuda Mystery Roses." It does many color combinations: Bob Edberg opines that this is probably the lost "Five-Colored Rose," noting logically that, if he were Robert Fortune, that's what HE would have called it. :-) Jeri

What really helps with this is to know the shrub shape, how tall it gets, see the leaves. Does it have any fragrance? Disease resistancy? How often does it bloom? It looks like several different roses. It somewhat resembles my Marie Curie, which is one of my favorites, but it could be any number of things. Good Luck!

Could it be The Fairy? Do the flowers have any scent (The Fairy is scentless, although many of the roses of this style are also scentless)?
