I'm sorry, I'm so excited I have to post again!
Comments (16)Thanks, guys :-) Some mildly analytical stuff: 1. The containers that have sprouted are all part of a the ones I grouped together in big garbage bags...I guess that ups the temps a bit, having the big plastic around them. I put a lot of containers in the bags for easy transport and for dog protection (from picking up a container and running off with it...which has happened before). Not all the containers in the bags have sprouted (there's a whole lot more of them), but those on the list above have. 2. The sprouted containers are also with a group of containers that are in Southern exposure. ( I have other bags of containers on my porch, in Northern exposure). This proves why it could be bad to have them in Southern exposure, because now, I'm more inclined to worry, since we now have snow and it's going to be in the 20s or lower tonight. But then, the ouotdoor temps have been in the low to mid 20s every night for the past two weeks and that didn't keep them from sprouting. ..but I'm not looking at those containers or opening them up...not for a few days, at least. Whatever will be will be...and I have a feeling a lot of those sprouts will be just fine. --I think I do need to slip a thermometer inside one of those bags of containers, though. I'm curious as to how much warmer it is in there. Linda...See MoreI'm Back posting once again.
Comments (27)O.K. for those that asked here are two of my favorite photos. Beulah is the Basset and Bernadette (Bernie for short) is the Beagle. The first one first shows that they aren't spoiled .... much. The second one you can tell they've obviously been raised together Enjoy....See MoreI'm going to try this again...
Comments (22)This particular store has certain areas that get really bad and then they straighten it out but another one will suffer. And yes they also have the problem of running out of inventory A couple of years ago the Women's clothes department was such a shambles that I sent corporate an email and they straightened it out but now it's the garden center. I'm just wondering if the people that used to work that area either were let go or hours cut or they just quit. You would think that they would make every effort to make the store nice and to please customers because of the stiff competition with Amazon but they just aren't making that effort, it's like now they are putting all their focus on online ordering and ordering for pickup, etc. - the old-fashioned customer that walks in and shops is now not being served. I also don't understand why Target's stores are always well stocked, clean and orderly, nothing out of place or miss-labeled or miss-priced. And when you even begin to look like you need help there is someone who flies out of the architecture to ask you if you need help. Why are they able to do that and Walmart can't?...See MoreHi, it’s me again...”I’m living in an antique store....”.
Comments (17)When we renovated our home including the kitchen 24 years ago, I assumed our decorator would say that our colonial style oak harvest table and chairs would need to go, and I was prepared to fight for them LOL. (She was new to us, British, with a plummy accent and lots of style.) But she was horrified at the thought that we would replace such a quality piece. Along the same lines, Prince Charles apparently wears suits with visible mending (apparently his tailor keeps the cutting scraps, for future repairs). I am constantly amazed that people think that a kitchen that was beautiful 30 years ago is suddenly ugly because it is oak. And, heaven forbid, with cathedral arch raised panels. How can they be ewww when they were wow?...See Morerococogurl
