installing laminate flooring throught 1st floor of home

I am remodeling my home and want to install 12mm laminate throughout. When I removed the old laminate I noted it had 1/2" particle board over 5/8 plywood subfloor. I am replacing particle board where it is damaged and wanted to make sure this stackup is fine for laminate. Also in one addtl area I removed 14" tiles and below is tile set and what appears to be 1/4" wonderboard cement backerboard over my 5/8 plywood subfloor.
I am finding it near impossible to remove wonderboard. Assuming I get all 3 areas for the new laminate to the same level, which will include sanding down the tile set(over the wonderboard) and filling in gaps, will this be an issue down the road. If yes, what other options do I have to remove this cement backed wonder board nightmare.
The laminate is snap lock (no glue or nails)
