Well, I know the type of alcohol (denatured?) in hair spray will melt it off clothing. You could try a little hair spray on a Q-Tip and see if it works.

I never put mine on the floor either...if the bathroom stalls don't have a hook to hang it on....I hook my handle over the top corner of the door then close it and lock it. It's kind of tight sometimes ,depending on thickness of purse handle. I don't like setting them on floor in restaurant either. I'll hook it on my chair and cover it with my coat. Usually the table we are at will have an extra chair. We all put our bags on the chair. patti
