It was probably a no-no, but I used a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on mine. It dulled the finish just a bit, but who knows what the crud was so I didn't figure I was losing anything. You could test a small spot first. Car detailing places would probably know of some things to clean ink if the good old stand-by of hairspray doesn't work. Most of the leather cleaners we've used in the past were for general grime. My cows must be pretty tough because some mild soap and water worked just fine. You didn't ask but also consider getting a harness that hooks into the seat belt. It will keep the dog from..... 1. Not jumping out of the car when you get to your destination and possibly getting run over in traffic. 2. If you get in an accident the dog won't become a flying missile and hurt himself or you. 3. If you get in a serious accident it would make it easier for the paramedics to get YOU out. Most dogs will protect what they perceive as theirs (the car) and would not allow anyone to enter. They have also been know to flee from the scene and become lost. I'm sure you get the general idea. Also, you might look into getting a moving pad and sewing it, or use velcro, to fit around the back of the seats. Since you can get to the back seats it would be easy to make an envelope or pocket.

Rubbing alcohol. I had this happen in my car and rubbing alcohol didn't take it all out immediately, but over a period of time, the ink disappeared. All is not lost. Don't give up yet.

Interesting article and study discussed here. My personal observation of my vegetarian/vegan acquaintances fits this study too. Many have lots of general anxiety and other mental health issues. The real question to be addressed is do they change their diets because they are ill or does the diet have a causative effect on their mental health? My personal belief is that their pre-existing mental fragility makes them more susceptible to trying to fix things through diet and other woo methods.
