I found the Blackberry very straight forward. You could be reading your mail, click a link and read the web page and return to your mail without having to close the web page and return to the home screen. The I phone does not have a back button which I find so frustrating. My son has an Android and I find it more comfortable to use. It does have a back button. I like the screen better, seems clearer/sharper than Iphone. Iphone brags about their retina display. Sons, Samsung is brighter and colors seem better. Iphone is a data hog. You must remember to constantly close programs or they continue to run. There is no 'xing' off anything. You have to leave a page by returning to the home screen. There are so many things I dislike about the Iphone I won't bother taking the time to list. My guess is, if Iphone is your first smart phone, you'll love it because it's all you know. I also think it is appealing to younger people because of the Apple status symbol. Blackberrys were more 'business' orientated. They operated more like a computer. You could work from multiple screens and pages. Can't do that with the Iphone. Snidely, I've been following Blackberry over the past year hoping the company would come out with a new phone. I thought it was going under. I hoped Microsoft might buy them out. Now it seems they will release their new phone in the next few weeks. The tech reviews were very good. Blackberry will not have a physical keyboard but the testers report loving how well their new touch keypads work. The reports loved the ability to have multiple windows working at once without losing your place. I know many professional people who gave up on Blackberry and upgraded to Iphones. Not one of them thinks Iphone is better than their old phones. Many state they might switch back and are waiting for the release. If I can't get a Blackberry, I'd get an Android. I think its a better phone. Jane

This sounds unnecessarily complicated. Why don't you just want to download apps for your iPad directly through the Apple Store? In addition, I have many downloaded apps on my iPad and have yet to pay for one...ther's plenty of good free stuff available.

Okay...this family has three iPads that don't come up full screen...all of them thought it was supposed to look like that. My friend used the 800 number yesterday and they tried a fix for it that didn't work. Now, they are going to maybe (if she calls them back) work through iTunes and try and fix the problem (at this point, she "knows" there is a problem) They told her that if that doesn't work, she should go to an Apple store and have them look at it and they would probably replace it with an iPad 2. Now, I didn't say anything else at this point, but I think she as the New iPad and not iPad 2, but that's what she was told over the phone. There must be no easy fix for this, but I find it strange that three in the same family have the problem. The same person set them all up to begin with...I wonder if she could have done something wrong? It didn't seem that hard to do. I don't know if all three of them were bought at the same time or not.

Update. Last night I was able to download iTunes to my HP laptop. Silly me, I connected the iPad to HP, pulled up iTunes and expected the iPad to open and give me the opportunity to reset a password. Not so! Then I read, re-read all the iPad links I could find on iTunes. I have a huge headache! I’ve loved having my iPad these past years!!! I use it solely for recreational purposes. Connecting with others who enjoy my hobbies. Primarily gardening, mostly with orchids. Square dancing. Keeping up with family & close friends via social media. Shopping, since I live in ‘the boonies’ far from any shopping malls. And simple games, scrabble, half dozen word games, card games, 42, solitaire. No internet games. Very boring to the current generations I suppose! Must I sync to the HP? Does this mean I’ll start all over with content of the iPad? Will I lose my email addresses, forum links?
