I have only seen a few episodes of The Voice, but I will not watch it again as long as she is on it. I cannot stand her.

Miley Cyrus is the poster child of dysfunction!

Her life is a train-wreck that she purposely organizes. However, she can sing. She nails "Jolene". I'm disappointed they're using her. Pharrell Williams is such a sweetie.

Like and dislike? but I don't watch the voice. I agree that she does act out on purpose and can sing. Even before seeing the Jolene video. She has talent, but I can see why she'd work so hard to keep people at a more than arm's distance. I'm betting she's got leeches to spare. I feel sorry for her. She worries me that she'll end her life in a blaze some day. She just seems the type. I hope she finds ground before it happens.

I love the Voice, but I do not like Miley Cyrus at all. We record the Voice and watch it later so we can fast-forward through any segments in which she appears.

I haven't been watching this season - I have enjoyed it but not Miley. I'm sure they will got lots of viewers who tune in to see what outrageous thing she will do.

I believe that she's the next Lindsay Lohan. Unfortunately. I hope not.

I adore her! Talent! Talent! Talent! Her career is well managed. She gets paid to act like that! Yes, that makes a difference to me. It's all about money.

I think she's doing a good job with the singers. Shallow of me, I suppose, but I kept wishing someone would give her a makeover. The clothes! The makeup! So unflattering.

I don't like her but can't deny she is very talented.

She is going to be a judge next season along with Alicia Keys. Pharrel and Christina are leaving. I also heard Adam's leaving but they haven't announced it...may just be rumor.

I don't care for Miley's music and I find her speaking voice annoying so I'm not sure I will tune in or not next season. I know I won't tune in if I see that tongue sticking out even once. I think she's out of her league on the show.

Does she slow down when she speaks? I saw her when she was a guest on 2 1/2 Men, and boy does she ever talk fast.

Jolene is absolutely incredible.

I can't deny her talent, and she is definitely an entertainer, but I don't like her antics with the twerking thing and a host of other things I have heard of, but as long as she sticks to the requirements of the show I am OK with it.

Like most, I can't stand her usual on stage antics, when SHE'S performing, but I have to admit that she's been nothing but professional on The Voice, when she mentors these young singers. I think Miley will do great if she's on the show next season, as all the advice she gives to the young singers to improve their performance, does do exactly that. She has an excellent ear for deciding what notes or cadence should be changed, to better suit their voices and singing styles.

I never watch t.v. and I am not familiar with the show, but I do know that child stars have a difficult time finding their way and Miley is still very young. I think that a lot of us have done some weird and ill advised things as youthful peeps.

Personally, I'm going to give her a few more years to mature and see who she becomes.

The dissenters are all talking about what she does off the show - or what they have heard she does - and what she looks like, what she sounds like etc. - whereas the few approving notes are about what good advice she has been giving. So apparently her being on the show has in fact, been a success.

Yep. I only caught a few minutes of the show, right when they were recapping some singing advice that she'd given the singers. I was impressed. She nailed bits that weren't working and how to fix them. That's pretty advanced stuff that many performance singers, rather than vocal coaches, don't know and can't do. I don't pay any attention to her usually, but from the little bit I saw on The Voice, it seems like she's an actual musician.

IF it is true she is acting the way she does as some sort of "personality" that attracts attention thus gets more money--that is pathetic. IF she has true talent--that should be enough to guide her star. Greed is her catalyst? Character does matter, no amount of talent washes the lack of it away. I have no interest in watching her for that reason alone.

The world is full of artists and other talented people that live in poverty. There are all too many companies/agents that use these people to make money for themselves and give the artists/singers/talented ones very little.

There is nothing wrong with making money. That is not to say that each of us has a right to our opinions, of course we do. But many famous singers, ZZ Top for instance, are famous not only for their voices but for their presentation as well.

I think in 10 years people will look back on twerking and laugh. And I think in 10 years, Miley will be done with her sow-your -wild-oats years, and hopefully her talent and mentoring will inspire other young artists.

She knows what she is doing. And does it on purpose. She says her moves are logical. Even if just to her. It makes money, so I assume she's doing it on purpose?

Actually, my opinion of her has improved after seeing her on The Voice. I don't like the way she dresses or her outrageous behavior. She had given good advice and shown maturity. For some reason, she reminds me of Christina Aguilera... maybe because of the outrageous clothes.

Or her managers get her to do this stuff to get attention and make more money instead of watching out for a young girl. Up to now she's been a horrible role model for the very audience that probably listens to her and follows her the most...pre-teen and teen girls. Let's hope she matures and if she really is talented she doesn't need the gimmicks and outrageous behavior.

Entertainers also have to create a brand to market. I am sure the phase that followed Hanna Montana (sp?) was to erase the past so she could move past the teenage girl and keep up with those who are growing with her. It will be interesting to see if she is now entering "mature woman" phase as this is where her original fanbase is now. This way you keep who you had, stayed relevant to have others "young and mature" join you. LOL, I don't have much faith in the entertainment industry giving me sincerity.

I am also confused over who gets "chosen" and how we really have a handful of entertainers, really, over a whole population, who we "follow". I'm just happy my kids haven't idolized any celebrities yet. It's not the direction I would like them to take.

She's disgusting. I don't watch the show but if I did, I'd not watch it with that pig on it.
