Got Windows 10, can't find files
Comments (11)Thanks for the suggestions, both of you. I tried that earlier, Richard, and see some things, but not all. It's weird . . . even in Libraries in the Photoshop menu, my folder named 2015 Photos is missing, but everything else in that section (Libraries --> Pictures) is there, including 2012 Photos, 2013 Photos, and 2014 Photos. Aputernut, going that route the photo folders are not visible to me. I checked the Settings to make sure recently used files/folders aren't hidden, and they weren't. I didn't ask W10 to make any changes whatsoever. The photo option I referred to able was an app it wanted to add, and I refused. Windows 7 didn't mess with my photos, and I didn't want to "improve" on that. I'm not concerned that I've lost these pictures; I have them backed up, and I'm pretty sure they're still on the computer; I just can't get to them....See MoreOne Drive and One note.
Comments (6)One Drive is an over-the-internet, centralized server-based storage. The initial free tranche - 5 GB, is pretty small and not all that useful in my opinion. Someone on one vacation trip taking a moderate amount of photos of what's now normal quality (5-10 megs each) would exceed that amount easily. The lowest paid tranche is 100 GB at $7/month, which is very expensive compared to the alternatives. For example, one could buy two 64GB SD cards for $40 or less, that would give 128 GB of storage. Or a hard drive, 500 GB (5 times as much) for $50 or so. It's true that One Drive does provide a sync and access between devices but I personally don't think that's of much value. Removing photos from a camera and moving or copying them from one storage location or device to another is simple and something everyone needs to know how to do. One Note is a note taking program that's integrated with OneDrive for online storage and manipulation....See MoreIKEA sektion base cabinets: 5/10/15, 10/10/10, or 15/15?
Comments (20)Our kitchen is not fully assembled yet (we're waiting on the countertop install) so we haven't fully fleshed out the drawer uses. We started by looking at work areas then made our best guess as to the most useful drawer combinations - not what was necessarily aesthetically pleasing. We found that 10-inch drawers seem to be the most useful. Out of the nine base cabinets there are nineteen 10-inch drawers (there is a tray cab with a door, and the sink cab with a trash pullout and a door). We did put a combo of 5-5-10-10 drawers in one cabinet. The 5-inch drawers hold utensils. In fact we just purchased the Ikea bamboo trays for those. As others have done, we also have two 15-inch drawers for appliances. In only one instance do we use an inner drawer. That's the spice drawer where the 10-inch holds the commonly used spices and the inner holds the less often used items. Our rule has always been "open and get", not "open, open, get" - way too inefficient for us ;-) As an aside we found that the Ikea Variera spice trays do not fit neatly in a 24" wide cabinet drawer (which was disappointing). We'll probably end up with non-slip drawer mats....See MoreWindows 10 - and the (rain) Cloud
Comments (2)Here a link I found from doing a Google search with your question that relates to One Drive. You haven't said enough in your question for me to know what agent is acting. You might be able to or previously could have done a more relevant search on your own based on what you're seeing. https://support.office.com/en-us/article/turn-off-disable-or-uninstall-onedrive-f32a17ce-3336-40fe-9c38-6efb09f944b0?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US...See Moreurlee
