I think it'll be fine to use the same fixture if the size is right, or a similar one in ribbed clear glass BUT... if you have doubts, don't let them rush you. Put in your island lights and just have this one left as a wired box in the ceiling. If you need a fixture in it to pass inspection, throw up something cheap. It does NOT need to be ordered now if you aren't sure. (If PB has a good return policy, might as well order it though!) It's and easy quick DIY project to install a light fixture so there is no need to commit before you're ready. Don't need to have it picked out for when the electrician is there.

So my husband and I looked at the samples again and decided we only want the Mojave countertop (which will also be our backsplash) (http://www2.dupont.com/Surfaces/en_US/assets/flash/gallery_colors/colors.html?product=corian&chipname=Mojave). So there will be a lot of Mojave going on. Now that we've decided on that, there are fewer options/combos for the sink. We have all black appliances. Cabinets are maple with praline stain. Here are our options. Which would you go with, given color and function? 1. Sink in Silgranit-biscuit (to match countertop) 2. Sink in Silgranit-cafe brown (to match countertop & cabinets) 3. Sink in Silgranit-anthracite (to match appliances) 4. Sink in Stainless steel Thanks in advance for your input!

depends on stain shade of floor. Brown can be reddish/ orangeish/ or grayish.... as well, light medium and dark w regard to the intensity. And your lighting will make a difference too. [natural light/or lack...and room lighting] . some woods with smooth texture and medium to dark stain can be an alternative to the expense of paint...and the upkeep of paint also. Picture cherry with a medium to dark stain will over time have an even look without the grain of oak if that's your goal. Birch and alder with darker stains will be similar in even smooth texture. Brown is rich and warm and there are different ways to achieve the smooth brown painted look.....[before you cement your decision. ]

pick a blue w yellow or green undertones. the counter and floor need that . Buxton blue but even more yellow to it. Have you thought of a green color as an option. The purpleish or royal or navy blues don't work but may be better in your light.....and we can't possibly know that. Yellow and creamy counter but floor is a cooler red so you have to work w the both...I'd look at green shades and you can veer bluish in that family.
